EASY CARDS FOR GUYS USING NATURE’S BEAUTY & BACKGROUND STAMPS

 Hi Stampers!

Today I have some guy cards (gals might like them too) to share I made using stamp sets you just might have on hand, NATURE’S BEAUTY, BIRCH, and STACKED STONE.  These cards are similar, and all are easy to make. Let’s take a look at the cards:

NATURE’S BEAUTY is one of my favorite stamp sets. I am happy it will be staying around a while longer.

Here are the background stamps I used:

* All the cards begin with an A-2 card base (either 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” or 11” x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2”.

* All cards have a focal panel mat that measures 5” x 3 1/4”

SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD
* Basic Gray card base, Smoky Slate mat, scrap of Basic Gray and Basic White
* Inks - Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, and Wink of Stella
* Black Baker’s Twine
* Stitched Rectangle Dies (2 3/4” x 1 1/2”)
* Adhesive of choice, Dimensionals
* BIRCH background stamp

ASSEMBLY:
* Ink up the BIRCH stamp, and stamp the image on the Smoky Slate mat.
* Stamp the fox image with Smoky Slate on the Basic White and stamp the greeting above the fox image (greeting is from Timeless Tulips - I cut the photopolymer sentiment apart). Use a bit of Wink of Stella under the fox to add shimmer to the “snow.”
* Die cut the image with the Stitched Rectangles Dies, cut the scrap of Basic Gray to 1 5/8” x 3”.
* Adhere the image to the mat.
* On the back side of the Smoky Slate panel apply some adhesive at the top and bottom, stick one end of the Baker’s Twine, and rap it around the panel 3-4 times making sure each strand of twine sticks to adhesive. Take a 6-8” piece of twine and slip under the 4 strands on the front and tie a bow. Trim the ends.
* Position and adhere the fox image to the focal mat.
Attach the focal piece to the card base with dimensionals.

The supplies and assembly for this card are the same except I used the STACKED STONE background stamp (I positioned it so the stones are vertical as ofelt it resembled bark). I used the Layering. Circle Dies for the image and its make (2 1/8” diameter, 2 3/8” diameter).

* Inks - Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Balmy Blue
* Blender Pen, Blending Brush

* Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim - 3 pieces about 4 1/2” long

* Stamp the fox with Cajun Craze. use the blender pen to spread the color over the fox.
* Use the grass image and Old Olive ink to add some grass around the bottom of the fox.
* Use Balmy Blue and a blending bush to add some “sky.”
* stamp the greeting in Early Espresso.
* Put adhesive on the back of the Crumb Cake focal panel to hold the ends of two pieces of the trim in place. Use the final piece of trim to tie the two pieces together on the front of the card.
