PEACEFUL DEER - IT’S NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS

In just under two weeks the Stampin’ Up!®️ July - December 2021Mini Catalog will go live! This catalog is filled with great stamp sets. Yes, many of the sets contain images and sentiments specifically for Christmas, Halloween, etc, but many stamp sets contain images and / or sentiments appropriate for any time of year. Today’s card is a birthday card made using the PEACEFUL DEER stamp set. Here is the card:

PEACEFUL PRINTS DSP

SUPPLIES FOR THIS CARD

* Sahara Sand card base 11” x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2”

* For focal image - Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 2 3/4” and for the inside 5” x 3 3/4”

* Sahara Sand cardstock cut at 4 1/4” x 3” for focal image May.

* For the greeting - small scrap of Basic White and Sahara Sand

* DSP cut at 5” x 3 3/4”

* Sticky Note for masks

* Inks - Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, and Balmy Blue; Stampin’ Blends - Crumb Cake (light), Soft Suede (light) and Petal Pink (light).

* Blending Brushes

* Linen Thread

* Adhesive of choice and dimensionals

ASSEMBLY

* Stamp each dear image on a sticky note, and cut out the images to use as masks.

* On the Basic White focal panel use the Soft Suede  ink and stamp the sitting deer image toward the bottom and middle of the cardstock.

* Place the mask over the deer image and stamp the standing deer image in Soft Suede toward the left side of the panel. The deer’s front legs should appear to be behind the seated deer.

* Place masks over both deer images and stamp the tree images.

* Use blending brushes and ink to add the grass (Pear Pizzazz) and the sky (Balmy Blue).

* Remove the masks and color the deer with the Stampin’ Blends.

* Stamp the Happy Birthday (from Enjoy the Moment stamp set - Annual Catalog) with Sahara Sand on Basic White. Fussy cut around the greeting. Adhere it to a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock and trim.

* Adhere the DSP to the card base. Adhere the focal panel to its mat. Then adhere the matted focal panel to the card base.

* Add the greeting to the card with dimensionals.

* Wrap the linen thread around the card 2-3 times and tie in a bow.

* Adhere the remaining Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card.
