USE YOUR SCRAPS AND THIS EASY LAYOUT FOR CARDS IN A HURRY

Hi Stampers!

Grab your scraps and let’s use them along with an easy card layout to create great cards. Today’s layout uses a 5” x 1 1/2” piece of patterned paper on a 5”x 3 3/4” panel. You can mount this panel on a 5 1/4” x 4” piece of cardstock if you like, add an image and greeting, adhere it to a card base, and the card is finished! The card can be created in portrait or landscape orientation. Let’s take a look at the sample cards:

CARD LAYOUT # 2627

 

WHAT YOU NEED
* Card Base - A-2 size - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” or 11” x 4 1/4” s Oreo and folded at 5 1/2”.
* Inside panel - white or light colored cardstock cutvatv5” 4 3
* Mat - (Optional) cardstock cut at 5” x 3 3/4”
* Strip - Patterned paper cut at 5” x 1 12” (can substitute strips of cardstock cut- see Rick rack card)
* Stamps, dies, inks, other cardstock, adhesive and other items needed to complete card.

WHAT TO DO
* Prepare card base, cut mat, panel strip, and inside panel.
* Stamp inside panel. Adhere to inside of card.
* Prepare focal image and / or greeting.
* Adhere strip to left hand side of panel (or top or bottom if landscape card).
* Adhere focal image and / or greeting to panel.
* Adhere panel to mat (if using).
* Adhere piece to card base.
* Add embellishments.

Quick and easy card layouts is my theme for summer, and this layout fits the bill! The layout is easy and adaptable. Use your patterned paper scraps, use background panels left over from other projects, use a mat layer or not,  create the card in portrait or landscape orientation . . .  So many options!
