ZANIER ZEBRAS

ZANIER ZEBRAS
WITH A MASK

I have had so much fun Making cards using the Zany Zebras stamp set. In the previous post I mentioned using the “masking technique.” I used the same technique to create this card:

Isn’t it so cute? I really like the combination of a Magenta Madness and Basic Black. The bright colored zebras (Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, and Highland Heather) remind me of the Beech-Nut Fruit Stripe Gum zebra!

To make this card I stamped the Highland Heather zebra, then I stamped the Granny Apple Green zebra. Next I masked off the two zebras, and stamped the Magenta Madness zebra to make it appear it is standing behind the other two.

To make the masks stamp each image you wish to mask on a Post It Note. Stamp as much of the image as possible along the sticky side of the Post It Note.

Cut out the images. These are the masks. Place the masks over the stamped images on the card panel.

Now stamp the image you wish to appear behind the other stamped images. Remove the masks. I keep the masks in the set’s case to use for other projects. So, there you have it; masking with Zany Zebras - it’s just that easy!

Until next time...

Zany Zebras

ZANY ZEBRAS
BIRTHDAY CARDS FOR KIDS

What is more fun for kids than celebrating a birthday? Especially their own birthday! Stampin’ Up! ®️ offers a brand new stamp set called,
“Zany Zebras! It is adorable and perfect for kid cards as you can see:

A few of the kids in my life will be celebrating birthdays this month, and the Zany Zebras stamp set is just what I need to create some cute cards to send their way! I almost always mail birthday cards to kids, even the ones who I will be seeing on their birthday. Kids love getting mail of their very own!

Here is the card I made:

The inside of the card:

And the envelope:

I made this card to fit in a business size (#10) envelope.

Card base
Real Red cut 9 1/4”x 8” abs scored across the 8” side at 4”

Mat layer
Basic Black- cut 2 at 8 3/4” x 3 1/2”

Focal panel
Whisper White - cut 2 at 8 1/4” x 3”

I stamped the images on the Whisper White cardstock, one for the outside of the card, and one for the inside using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. On the focal panel of the card I stamped the two outside zebras first, masked them off, and then stamped the middle one. I stamped the party hat images on Whisper White scraps, colored them with watercolor pencils (annual catalog, page 144), fussy cut them, and adhered them with mini glue dots. I stamped the “kick up your heels greeting on a 1” wide piece of Whisper White cardstock and used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch punch(annual catalog page 169) to add a finished look. I adhered the label to a piece of Real Red card stock. I used a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (annual catalog page 156) for a little sparkle and shine.

I stamped a zebra image on the lower left corner of the envelope. As I mentioned earlier, this card will fit in a business size (#10) envelope.

I hope this card provides you with some greatinkspiration for creating your own Zany Zebra kid card!

Until next time...

Stamp a Happy!
