STAMPIN’ UP! 2024-2026 IN COLORS
NEW DIRECTIONS
Every now and then we need to stop, take a deep breath, and re-evaluate where we are, where we would like to be, and decide if the time has come for changes. This is where I find myself. Since September I have been dealing with “something.” I had no idea what that “something”was when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. It is some type of inflammatory arthritis. My tests suggest I have drug induce lupus and / or sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis.
I am feeling better. I no longer take the medication that could be causing the issue. I am taking a medication to help relieve other symptoms. The most difficult symptom for me to handle is the extreme fatigue.
I needed to make a few life changes. One of those changes is giving up my Stampin’ Up! demonstratorship. Being a demonstrator is not difficult and I have enjoyed the past ten years with Stampin’ Up! I just need to simplify my life as much as possible. So, as of 1 May I will no longer be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
So, what does that mean for my You Tube Channel and this blog? My plan is to continue with this blog and continue making videos. My videos will switch focus from Stampin’ Up! products to a focus on card layouts, techniques, and encouraging all of us to use what we have to create spectacular cards. I will still use Stampin’ Up! products for the most part. Some products will be retired, but because the focus will be more on layouts and techniques you will be able to create your own versions of the sample cards by using the supplies you have on hand.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me through my Stampin’ Up! journey. I appreciate you all so much. I hope you will join me as I go off in this new direction!
If you are new to stamping and have few supplies, or if you are on a budget (aren’t we all) and looking for ways to get more out of your crafting dollars; do I have a tip for you! Get sentimental! That’s right! Go on the search for a great sentiment stamp set or two. Sets can be geared toward one occasion such as birthdays or designed to be used for many different occasions. * Die cut the shaker elements paper with the largest die. Next center the smaller die over the die cut DSP, and cut a window.
* Stamp the sentiment multiple times on the die cut cardstock
* Use Tear & Tape on the back of the DSP frame and adhere it to the die cut window sheet
* Place the foam adhesive strips on the back side of the DSP/window sheet piece all around the perimeter.
* Place loose sequins or other shaker pieces inside the DSP / window sheet piece and top with the stamped Basic White piece. Make sure the stamped images are facing down.
* Place adhesive on the back side of the shaker piece and adhere to card base at an angle
* Add the bow using a glue dot
SAVE THE DATE CARD IDEA
* This is not a card, but more of a card concept or idea. It would be easy to create this or something similar, and on the opposite side of the card base adhere a piece of cardstock on which the specific information for the event has been printed.

Spring is here, and I am looking forward to gardening! Every year along with our vegetable garden we plant patches of sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias. I enjoy the all the flowers, but zinnias are my favorite. They are just so colorful! Once again the name of this flower is pronounced differently by different regions. Some of you pronounce the name “ZIN EE UH,” while others pronounce it “ZIN YUH.” Where I live we say “ZEEN YUH.” However one pronounces the name, zinnias are just so joyful and add a pop of color anywhere you find them, even on cards!

If you happen to have the Flowering Zinnias DSP, you have noticed this design, and how the flowers on one side are upside down! This page is designed to allow for the creation of 6 card fronts. Many of Stampin’ Up!’s DSP packs include a page designed for this purpose.
Simply put the paper in the trimmer at 6” (cut between the flowers). Cut each half at 4” and 8”. This will give you six pieces that measure 6” x 4”. For a layer on an A-2 card front trim to 5 1/4”. Where you trim will depend on if you want to stamp the greeting directly on the DSP or and a greeting elsewhere. You can trim the 3/4” evenly from the top and bottom of the DSP, from the bottom only, or from the top only.

A simple mechanism allows the ice cream cone to stand up. Add a label to the cone and this item can be used to label toppings on an ice cream cone or sundae bar, or write names on the label and use as place cards.

ASSEMBLY
* Place the texture die over one side of the cone and run through die cut machine.
* Use the ink and sponge dauber to add some shadow to the cone.
*Adhere the Lemon Lolly swirl over the Lemon Lime Twist ice cream. Fold the cone in half. Place adhesive along the top of the front side of the cone and place the ice cream over the adhesive
* Position the standing mechanism so that it looks like a “W.” Place adhesive on the two outer sides. Adhere one side to the bottom of the back side of one side of the cone. Put cone face down and fold the other side of the cone down, line up with the bottom of the front, and press onto the standing mechanism.
* Adhere label die cut / punch out to cone.

I enjoyed creating these projects using the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle. The large ice cream cone image adds a lot of “WOW” to cards and other projects. The fact the ice cream cone can be a fun shaped card is such a fun option. All the accessories (stamps & dies) add so much to the versatility of this bundle.

Today we’ll take an “In Detail” look at the TRUSTY TOOLS BUNDLE. This is a stamp and die bundle, and is found in the Stampin’ Up!®️ January - April 2024 Mini Catalog. This bundle is a great for creating guy cards, especially for the handyman , woodworker, or builder in your life. Of course this bundle can be used to create cards for handy women too, and kids who have a passion for tools!
This bundle gives you so many options for creating tool themed cards. The stamp set is a two -step set, meaning it contains stamps that are outline images and stamps that fill in the color. You can stamp the outline image and use your choice of medium to add color - markers, watercolor, sponges, etc. Stamp the images directly on to the card panel, or stamp the images and die cut them and adhere them to the card. If those are not enough options for you, you can stamp the outline image on colored cardstock and die cut the images, or just die cut the images from colored cardstock! * Trusty Tools Bundle and Beach Day stamp set (happy birthday), or other happy birthday stamp
* Card base - Basic Black cardstock cut at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored along the 8 1/2” side at 1 1/2” and 5 3/4”
fold on score lines - both are mountain folds
* Inside panel - Basic White cardstock 5 1/5” x 4” - stamp the “happy birthday” near the top, centered from side to side. Stamp the tape measure in the lower left corner and color with Stampin’ Blends.
* Focal panel mat - Basic Black cardstock cut at 3” x 3”
* Focal panel - Basic White cardstock cut at 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”
* Basic White cardstock - large scrap to stamp focal images
