SUNNY CARDS FOR SUMMER DAYS

 Hi Stampers,

July is in full swing and I am loving the sunny summer days! This is the perfect time to create sunny summery cards! Today’s cards are easy to make window cards that go together fairly quickly.  Let’s take a look:

To create these cards I used the  SUNNY SENTIMENTS and the SHARING SUNSHINE stamp sets.

SUNNY SENTIMENTS

SHARING SUNSHINE

The cards feature the same layout, but the orientations are different (landscape and portrait). There is a frame around the window. The sunshine image is attached to the inside of the card with dimensionals.

SUPPLIES FOR THESE CARDS
* 2 Mango Melody card bases cut at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”.
* Half a sheet of Mango Melody cardstock (8 1/2” x 5 1/2”) for window frame, image, and sentiment mat.
* 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock, each cut at 51/4” x 4” for the inside of the card.
* Scrap Basic White for sin face and sentiments.
* DSP of choice (I used a design fro Pattern Party) cut at 5” x 3 3/4”.
* Inks - Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Stampin’ Blends - Pumpkin Pie (dark)
* Layering Circles Dies - ones that measure 3” 2 3/8” and 1 /2”.
* Pearls Basic Jewels
* Adhesive of choice and dimensionals.

ASSEMBLY
* Adhere the DSP to the card base and adhere the Basic White cardstock panels to the inside of the card.
* On the scrap Basic White cardstock stamp the greetings with Mango Melody, the center of the sun with Daffodil Delight, the expression with Poppy Parade.
* Open up the card and place it flat on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the 2 3/8” diameter die toward the upper left corner of the DSP, and die cut a circle.
* Use the smallest die (1 1/2” diameter) to die cut the sunshine centers.
* Use the Mango Melody cardstock and cut out he frame and piece for the SU rays by centering the 2 3/8” die inside the 3” die.
* Use a paper trimmer or scissors to trim around the sentiment. Cut Mango Melody mats for the sentiments that are about 1/8” larger on all sides than the sentiment piece.
* On the Mango Melody circles stamp the large rays (circular image) with Mango Me lady ink. Then use Pumpkin Pie ink and stamp the semi-circular rays over the larger rays.
* Adhere the two sunshine pieces together. Put dimensionals on be back of this piece and adhere it to the inside of the card through the window.
* Place  adhesive on the back side of the frame, and put it in place on the front side of the card.
* Adhere sentiment to mat, and put in place on card front,
* Use the Pumpkin Pie (dark) Stampin’ Blend to color three Pearl Basic Jewels for each card. Place these dots on the sentiment
Iece.
* Stamp sentiment inside the card if you like, using Mango Melody ink.

That is all for today. Thank you for stopping by! Until next time ...

CREATE BRIGHT & SUNNY CARDS EASILY WITH SHARING SUNSHINE & SUNNY SENTIMENTS STAMP SETS!

 Hi Stampers!

Where I live we are finally experiencing sunshine and warm weather! Earlier today I worked in my herb / flower garden and also planted a few annuals around the patio area! It felt great being outside in the warm sunshine!  The cards I created for today’s post are a lot like today’s weather, bright, sunny, and warm.

For today’s cards I used two new stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up!®️ 2021-2022 Annual Catalog; SUNNY SENTIMENTS stamp set (page 38) and SHARING SUNSHINE stamp set (page 39).

SUNNY SENTIMENTS

SHARING SUNSHINE

It would be easy to overlook this sweet little stamp set! When I saw it (might not have been my first time through the catalog) I knew I “needed” it for my stamp collection! It is more versatile than you might think! Although the set is named SHARING SUNSHINE, the round sunshine face can easily be a moon! I think this set pairs nicely with the SUNNY THOUGHTS stamp set. Let’s take a look at today’s cards.

Here is a look at the two cards I created with the stamp sets.

These cards go together quickly. They are cheery, a little whimsical, and will brighten anyone’s day! I have listed the supplies and measurements  for each card.  As always you can use items you already have - different DSP, different dies for the sentiments, etc.
