MORE CARD LAYOUTS THAT USE SCRAPS

 Hi Stampers!

Last week I shared two similar card layouts that focused on using scraps of cardstock and scraps of Designer Series Paper (DSP). Today I have two more similar card layouts to share that also focus on using scraps of cardstock and scraps of DSP. Each layout can be oriented in portrait or landscape perspective.

This week my cards are all birthday cards, and the scraps are from the ARTISTRY BLOOMS DSP (Annual Catalog). The cardstock scraps are Basic Black or Basic White. There are a few exceptions. Cardstock scraps were also used  for the images and greetings on the cards.

Let’s take a look at the cards.

SHORT STRIPS OF SCRAPS CARDS

To create these cards you will need:
* An A2 sized card base that is either 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” - scored and folded at 4 1/4” or 11” x 4 1/4”- scored and folded at 5 1/2”
* Three strips of DSP each cut at 1 1/4” x 3 3/4”
* Three strips of cardstock for mats, cut at 1 3/8” x 3 7/8”

General instructions for assembly:
* Adhere the DSP strips to the cardstock mats to form 3 panels.
* Adhere the panels to the card base, centering the panels top to bottom, and having about 1/4” border on the sides.
* Adhere the greeting and other images.

RIDE THE RANGE BIRTHDAY

* Garden Green card base, three strips of DSP with Garden Green as the main color, three strips of Basic White cardstock to mat the DSP. These scraps should be cut at dimensions given above.
* Scraps of Basic White cardstock and a small scrap of Garden Green cardstock for the focal image and the sentiment. For the sentiment cut Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4” x 1 1/8”. Stamp the greeting on this piece with Garden Green ink.  To mat the greeting cut a pierce of Garden Green 1 1/4” x 2 1/4” and a piece of Basic White cut at 1 3/8” x 2 3/8”.
* Garden Green ink
* To color the focal image I used - Stampin’ Blends - Old Olive (light), Pool Party (light), So Saffron (light & dark), Crumb Cake (light & dark), Misty Moonlight (dark), Poppy Parade (light).
* Ride the Range stamp set and Open Range Dies and Happy Thoughts stamp set (all found in the mini catalog).
* All the parts and pieces are put together using Stampin’ Seal except for the horse and rider image which is popped up on dimensionals.

BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE BIRTHDAY

* This card is identical to the previous card. I just changed the colors  - Gorgeous Grape and Basic White.
* For the sentiment - Basic White cut at 1 1/8” x 2 7/8” and a scrap of Gorgeous Grape cut at 3” x 1 1/4”.
* Stamp the greeting with Gorgeous Grape ink.
* On a 6” x 6” piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the Butterfly Brilliance stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Color the butterflies. The butterfly I chose for this card was colored using Highland Heather and Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends. Die cut the butterflies.
* Use Stampin’ Seal to attach the pieces to the cards. Attach the greeting and the butterfly with dimensionals.
* Happy Thoughts stamp set (mini catalog), Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Brilliant Wings Dies (Special promotion, for details click HERE ).
