Hi Stampers!
Today’s cards were made using the same technique. I call this technique “Stamping Around.” The flower images were stamped “around” the area where the sentiment is placed. This allows the stamped background to be distributed evenly on the card focal panel.
ELEGANTLY SAID STAMP SET
THE BASICS OF THE STAMPING AROUND TECHNIQUE
POLISHED PINK WITH COASTAL CABANA
For this card the Layering Circles Dies are used for the greeting and its mat. The floral image was stamped around a mat cut using the Layering Circle Die the same size as the greeting die cut (1 7/8” diameter circle die).
CALYPSO CORAL WITH JUST JADE
This card uses the Stitched Rectangles Dies for the greeting, and a little Just Jade Gingham Ribbon.
PALE PAPAYA WITH CINNAMON CIDER
Instead of dies, the greeting for this card started with the Tailored Tag Punch. Punch the mask, the Basic White piece for the greeting, and a Cinnamon Cider piece to make a mat for the greeting. To make the mat, cut the punched out Cinnamon Cider piece in half long ways. Once you have completed stamping the greeting on the Basic White punch out, place some adhesive along one edge on the back side. Adhere one of the Cinnamon Cider pieces to it leaving as much of the Cinnamon Cider border as you like. Do the same on the opposite side of the greeting piece.
DAFFODIL DELIGHT WITH SOFT SUEDE
For this card I also stamped around the focal piece.

SUPPLIES AND MEASUREMENTS TO MAKE CARD DEMONSTRATED IN THE VIDEO
* Elegantly Said Stamp Set (floral image and Happy Anniversary greeting) plus acrylic blocks
* Card Base - Pale Papaya 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Focal Panel & Inside Panel - Basic White cardstock - 5” x 3 3/4” (cut two)

* For the greeting - scraps of Basic White and Cinnamon Cider
* Mask - Sticky Note Paper or Printer Paper
* Inks - Pale Papaya and Cinnamon Cider
* Dies - Layering Circles Dies - Circle that measures 1 7/8” diameter and Scallop Circle that measures 2 1/4” diameter.
* Adhesive & Dimensionals
TO ASSEMBLE THE CARD
* Die cut the mask (sticky note or printer paper); the circle for the greeting (Basic White), and the scalloped circle for to mat the greeting (Cinnamon Cider).
* Place the mask in the center of one of the 5” x 3 3/4” pieces of Basic White cardstock. (Put a tiny bit of adhesive on the back of the mask if need be). Ink the floral stamp with Pale Papaya ink and stamp the image on the cardstock with the stem end of the floral image pointing toward the center of the mask. Stamp the image again next to the one you just stamped. Repeat the process around the mask.
* If you feel the corner areas need filled on a bit, ink the floral stamp, stamp off on scrap paper, and stamp the floral image where needed with the stem end of the stamp painting toward the center of the panel, and putting no pressure on the stem end of the stamp. Remove the mask.
* On the other piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the floral image with Pale Papaya ink in the lower right corner of the piece along the 5” side. Ink the stamp - stamp once and stamp again beside the previously stamped image.
* Using Cinnamon Cider ink stamp the Happy Anniversary greeting on the Basic White circle die cut. If you wish use the floral image and the Pale Papaya ink to stamp around the edge of the greeting die cut. I stamped off on scrap paper before stamping the floral image on the greeting die cut.
* Adhere the stamped background piece to the Cinnamon Cider mat. Adhere this piece to the card base.
* Adhere the sentiment piece to it’s mat (scalloped circle die cut). Put dimensionals on the back of rage greeting piece, and adhere it to the center of the card.
* Adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card.
* The card is finished.
That is all for today. Until next time...
Stamp Happy!
