Hi, Stampers!
Today’s card was created with the DELICATE DAHLIAS stamp set. The floral images are so pretty, and I really like the greetings’ font. This stamp set is a SALE-A-BRATION selection. You can choose it as a free gift with a $100 Stampin’ Up!®️ product purchase now through 30 September 2021!
The stamp set is a Two- Step set, meaning there are outline images and images that fill in the color. Two-Step stamp sets make stamping beautiful cards quick an easy! This Two-Step stamp set is so versatile. Stamp the outline image, then add color to the image with the filler stamp, or vice-versa. It’s totally up to you! You can stamp the outline images and color them in with the medium of your choice, or stamp the filler image as a stand alone image. Delicate Dahlias is one of those stamp sets that allows you to create your way. Let’s take a look at the set:
DELICATE DAHLIAS
Here is the card I made for today’s post:
I decided to use fall colors paired with copper. The focal panel started as a 5 1/4” x 4” and stamped the images. I placed the stamped panel on top of a 5 1/4” x 4” piece of Brushed Metallic cardstock (copper), then centered the Stitched Rectangles Dies (4 3/4” x 3 3/8”) on top, and ran both pieces through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine (die cut machine). I adhered the copper frame (save the center for another project) to a Evening Evergreen card base. I placed dimensionals on the back of the focal panel, and positioned it inside the frame, thus the name - raised panel card. This adds a bit of dimension, and is a nice change of pace from simply adhering the focal panel to a mat.
When stamping the leaves I masked the flowers. I stamped the floral image on a sticky note and cut it out, actually I cut out two at once as it was necessary to cover two of the floral images to stamp some of the leaves.
