WISTERIA WISHES BUNDLE - AN IN DETAIL POST

Hi Stampers!

 Today I thought we would take an “In Detail” look at the WISTERIA WISHES BUNDLE from the STAMPIN’ UP!®️ 2022-2023 ANNUAL CATALOG. The stamps in the set make beautiful clusters of wisteria, as do the dies, but this bundle is more versatile than one might think. Let’s take a look at my sample cards:

From these sample cards you can see the pretty clusters of wisteria, flowers on stems, a forest of evergreens, and die cut wisteria clusters. I am certain there are many other creative possibilities for these stamps and dies.

WISTERIA WISHES STAMP SET

This is a DIST-INK-TIVE™️ stamp set. This means the images when stamped will have a textured look with lighter and darker areas of ink that add extra depth and dimension.

WISTERIA DIES

This set of dies is compatible with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Mini, and of course it is compatible with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

WISTERIA WISHES BUNDLE IN DETAIL

HANG IN THERE IN HIGHLAND HEATHER

This is a very basic card. A bit of “two step stamping” adds a little depth and dimension, and it is so easy to do! I simply stamped the three clusters of flowers with Highland Heather. Next, I took the smaller single floral stamp, inked it with Gorgeous Grape, and stamped on top of the Highland Heather images!

SUPPLIES

* Wisteria Wishes stamp set
* Highland Heather card base - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Gorgeous Grape cardstock - 5” x 3 3/4”
* Basic White cardstock - 4 3/4” x 3 1/2”
* Inks - Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Pear Pizzazz
* Adhesive

HANG IN THERE IN PEAR PIZZAZZ

This card is similar to the previous card. Instead of stamping images directly onto a focal panel, I stamped the images on Basic White cardstock then die cut them. I used dimensionals to attach the die cut images to the card.

SUPPLIES

* Wisteria Wishes Bundle
* Pear Pizzazz card base - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Soft Sea Foam cardstock for frame - cut with Stylish Shapes Dies
* Basic White for stamping die cut images
* Inks - Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape
* Metallic Woven Ribbon - Parakeet Party, about 24”
* Rustic Metallic Dots - 3
* Stylish Shapes Dies for frame - largest and next largest squares
* Adhesive and dimensionals

FAITH CARD

For this card I used the floral images with the stems to create the illusion of flowers growing up from the ground.  The image could also be flipped to depict wisteria as though it is hanging down from a vine.

SUPPLIES

* Wisteria Wishes stamp set
* Basic White (thick) card base - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Melon Mambo cardstock - at least 5” x 3 3/4, this will be die cut with Stitched Rectangles die
* Basic White cardstock - at least 4 3/4” x 31/2”, this will be die cut with Stitched Rectangles die
* Basic White cardstock - small piece for greeting
* Inks - Melon Mambo, Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, and Balmy Blue
* Blending Brushes for the Pear Pizzazz and Balmy Blue inks
* Pearls Basic Jewels - 3
* Stitched Rectangle Dies - 4 3/4” x 3 5/8” to die cut Melon Mambo cardstock; 4 5/8” x 3” to die cut Basic White cardstock (the dimensions are the size shape the die cuts)
* Stylish Shapes Dies - Circle - 1 5/8” diameter
* Adhesive and dimensionals

Note - Prior to stamping the images on the focal panel (Basic White cardstock) use a blending brush and the Pear Pizzazz ink and with a very light touch go over the bottom third of the cardstock. You want to add just a touch of color. Next use a blending brush and the Balmy Blue ink to cover the remainder of the cardstock with a touch of color. At this point I used the Stitched Rectangles die to cut my cardstock to size, then I stamped the images.

WISTERIA DIE CUTS CARD

All the images on the card were die cut and adhered with a combination of liquid glue and dimensionals. I used 1 vine die cut, 2 die cuts of the stem / leaves, and 6 floral die cuts.

SUPPLIES

* Wisteria Wishes Bundle
* Soft Sea Foam cardbase - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Garden Green cardstock pieces to die cut 1vine and  2 stem/leaves
* Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstock pieces to die cut floral images - 3 of each color
* Ink - Gorgeous Grape; Wink of Stella to go over flowers
* Pearls Basic Jewels -3
* Liquid adhesive and dimensionals

WISTERIA EVERGREENS

It’s super easy to turn the pretty wisteria booms into evergreen trees, and create a wintry forest for a Holiday card! For an example of this idea using die cut images as opposed to stamped ones, see page 167 of the Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

SUPPLIES

* Wisteria Wishes stamp set
* Penguin Place stamp set for greeting
* Mossy Meadow card base - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Real Red cardstock 5 1/4” x 4”
* Basic White cardstock - 5” x 3 3/4”
* Inks - Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Balmy Blue; Stampin’ Blends - Smoky Slate (light) and Color Lifter
* Blending Brush
* Beautiful Shapes Dies (to die cut greeting)
* Rhinestone Basic Jewels - 5
* Adhesive and dimensionals

Note - I created a background on the Basic White focal panel by using the Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend to create a couple of rolling slopes. I softened these lines with the color lifter. Next I added some sky using Balmy Blue ink and a blending brush. I stamped the images with Mossy Meadow ink, then added a bit of shadow around them and a long the slopes with the Balmy Blue on the blending brush.
