THE 2 + 4 + GREETING, CARD LAYOUT - “GO TO” LAYOUT #3

Hi Stampers!

This month I am sharing four of my “go to” card layouts. Each layout is one I have used over and over with great results every time, and each one uses scraps! I call today’s layout 2 + 4 + Greeting, because it takes 2 pieces of patterned paper cut one size, 4 pieces plus a piece of cardstock (for the greeting) cut another size. Arrange the pieces on an A-2 card base, and you have a card! This, like many layouts can be made in either portrait or landscape orientation. Let’s look at the sample cards:

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE THE CARD

* Card Base - A-2 size. Cut cardstock at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” score and fold at 4 1/4” or cut cardstock at 11”x 4 1/4” score and fold at 5 1/2” - your choice
* Patterned Paper - at least two designs - cut 2 at 1 1/4”x 1 1/4”  and cut 4 at 2 1/2” x 1 1/4”

BASIC ARRANGEMENT
(PORTRAIT)

BASIC ARRANGEMENT
(LANDSCAPE)

PEARS & WISHES CARD

This is the basic layout in portrait orientation. I used one patterned paper for the smaller pieces, and another for the longer pieces, plus a piece of white cardstock for the greeting. The pear paper is directional, so I cut the horizontal piece with that in mind.

SUPPLIES I USED
(All supplies from Stampin’ Up! Unless otherwise noted)
* Card Base - Basic Black cardstock
* Patterned Paper - Fruit Salad
* Stamp - Essential Elements (Waffle Flower)
* Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento)
* Embellishment - Glistening Night Confetti (Pink & Main)

LOBSTER BIRTHDAY

This card features the basic arrangement for the landscape version of the layout. I changed thing up a bit by using 3 designs of patterned paper in stead of two. I also added that silly lobster for a focal image.
