USE ONE 3 3/4” SQUARE FOR A QUICK & EASY CARD

Hi Stampers!

Today I am using a 3 3/4” square piece of patterned paper to create an interesting card layout. I call it a 3 3/4” Square Triangle Card Layout. Simply cut the square in half diagonally from top right to bottom left, adhere these pieces to the top left and bottom right corners of a piece of 5 1/4” x 4” piece of cardstock, or adhere it directly to the card base. Add a greeting in the diagonal space between the two pieces of paper, and you have a card!. Let’s take a look at the sample cards:

VERSIONS OF CARDS WITH OPTIONAL CARDSTOCK STRIPS

USE A 3 3/4” SQUARE OF PATTERNED PAPER
TO CREATE A QUICK CARD

WHAT YOU NEED
* Card Base - A-2 size - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”or 11’ x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2”
* Mat -White or light cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4” (optional)
* Patterned Paper - one piece cut at 3 3/4”x 3 3/4”
* Printer Paper - one piece cut at 3 3/4” square (optional)
* Cardstock Strips - 2 of coordinating or contrasting color cut at 5 1/2” x 1/8” (optional)
* Repositional Adhesive or low tack tape (optional)
* Inside Panel - white or light colored cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Stamps, Inks, Adhesives, Embellishments to finish the card

WHAT TO DO
* Cut patterned paper in half diagonally from the top right corner to the bottom left - be aware of directional papers.
* If adding optional strip of cardstock, adhere it to the triangle pieces now. Trim ends if needed.
* Cut printer paper in same manner.
* Using the repositional adhesive or low tack tape, adhere the printer paper triangles to the top left and bottom right corners of the mat. This is a mask to help with greeting placement.
* Stamp a greeting in the diagonal space between the two pieces of printer paper
* Remove printer paper masks and adhere patterned triangles in place.
 (If you are not using a mat place the masks in the corners of the card base leaving even borders along the top and side. Stamp your greeting on the card, remove the masks.)
* Stamp and decorate the inside panel, then adhere it to the inside of the card.

For today’s cards supplies are from Stampin’ Up!®️ unless otherwise noted.

FLORAL HELLO

WITH 1/8” STRIPS

3 3/4” SQUARE TRIANGLE CARDS

This design is quick, easy, and uses scraps. There are so many options; use a mar, don’t use a mat, use dimensionals or just adhere the triangles to the card base. Stamp the greeting or use a die cut greeting. It is just a tad different from what is expected, so it’s a nice little surprise for the recipient. I hope you give this a try. Until next time. . .
Stamp Happy!
