Can you believe August is almost here? For me August signals it is time to start making my Christmas cards. Everyone has their own schedule for making their Christmas cards. Some begin in January and create a certain number of Christmas cards per month allowing them reach the goal of a certain number of cards by a certain date. Others prefer to wait until closer to Christmas to make their cards. I have tried a number of strategies, and I find beginning in August works great for me. Each week I will share a Christmas card, gift tags, or gift packaging ideas. Today’s cards, while not officially part of TINSEL TIME TUESDAY, are definitely Christmas cards! Both cards feature the STITCHED SNOWFLAKES DIES. Let’s take a peek at the cards:

STITCHED SNOWFLAKES DIES
The STITCHED SNOWFLAKES DIES coordinate with the MERRY SNOWFLAKES stamp set, and can be purchased as a bundle for a 10% savings. The STITCHED SNOWFLAKES DIES can also be used on their own.

TIME OF GIVING STAMP SET
This stamp set coordinates with the GIVING GIFTS DIES. Both items can be purchased separately or as part of the TIME OF GIVING BUNDLE for a 10% savings.
SUPPLIES LIST FOR THE TIME OF GIVING CARD
* Real Red Card base
* Old Olive cardstock cut at 5” x 3 3/4”
* Basic White cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4” for inside of card
* Scraps of Real Red and Basic White cardstock
* Inks - Old Olive, Versa Mark
* Tasteful Labels Dies
* Stitched Snowflakes Dies
* Time of Giving stamp set
* Adhesive of choice and dimensionals
ASSEMBLY
* Using Versa Mark stamp the snowflake image several times on the Old Olive cardstock
* Using Old Olive ink stamp the greeting on a scrap of Basic White
* Use the largest circular die from the Tasteful Labels Dies and die cut three circle shapes from the Old Olive cardstock; one top left, one center right, and one bottom left. Save the die cut images for another project. The remaining piece is the card front.
* Select three snowflake images from the die set, and die cut the snowflakes from Basic White cardstock.
* Use dimensionals to attach the Old Olive panel to the Real Red card base.
* Adhere the snowflakes to the Real Red card base inside the die cut circle area
* Use scissors and fussy cut the greeting. Adhere it to a scrap of Real Red cardstock, and fussy cut around the greeting again.
* Adhere the greeting to the card front - center left
* Stamp sentiment of choice on the Basic White inside panel using Old Olive ink. Adhere this piece to the inside of the card

PEACEFUL PRINTS DSP - A SALE-A-BRATION SELECTION
SUPPLIES FOR THE PEACEFUL PRINTS & STITCHED SNOWFLAKES DIES:
* Basic Black card base
* Basic White cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4” for inside of card
*DSP from PEACEFUL PRINTS cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Basic Black cardstock cut at 2” x 4”; Real Red cardstock cut at 1 3/4” x 4” and Basic White cardstock cut at 1” x 4”
* Large scrap of Basic White for die cutting the snowflakes
* Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
* About 6” of Real Red Double Stitches Ribbon (Annual Catalog) and another4-5 inches for the knot bow
* Sentiment Stamp (mine is from the SNOW WONDER stamp set (Annual Catalog)
* Adhesive of choice
ASSEMBLY:
* Die cut three snowflakes from the scrap of Basic White
* Using the Tuxedo Black ink stamp the greeting toward the right of the 1” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock
* Adhere the DSP to the caedstock
* Adhere the piece of Real Red cardstock to the Basic Black cardstock piece
* Adhere the Basic White piece to the Basic Black/ Real Red piece.
* Tape one end of the Real Red ribbon to the back side of the sentiment panel, then wrap the ribbon around the piece, trim and tape the other end to the back of the greeting panel. Slip the other piece of ribbon under the taped ribbon and tie it into a knot.
* Cut each snowflake in half and adhere each piece the back side of the greeting panel.
* Adhere this piece to the card more toward the top.
* Stamp a sentiment on the Basic White inside panel and adhere to the inside of the card.
* I punched a small snowflake from another design in the PEACEFUL PRINTS dsp and glued it to the center of the bow
