FOR QUICK & EASY CARDS TRIPLE THE IMAGE

Are you looking for a stamping technique that is quick & easy, and results in great cards? Well, I have the perfect technique for you! Simply triple a stamped image. That’s right, simply stamp the image 3 times to create am interesting focal panel for your cards. That is all there is to it! It doesn’t get much easier. So… why stamp 3 images as opposed to two or four? Honestly, you can stamp the image as many times as you like, or as many times as there is room for on a card; but the number three connotes universal symbolism. In the Christian faith - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; stages of life - birth, life, death; a person’s being - mind, body, soul; time - past, present, future; in writing / story telling - beginning, middle, ending; and in superstition / idioms - third times the charm. The number 3 is considered good fortune, and it is the first number that allows for the formation of a geometric figure - the triangle! With all that going for it you can see why stamping an image three times will result in great cards!

Let’s take a look at today’s cards:

As you can see, each image is featured three times on the cards’ focal panels. Each card’s images are presented in a slightly different way, meaning there are plentiful options for using the triple image technique!

I have listed the cutting dimensions and supplies used below each card. If you do not have the exact items, no worries. Use what you have! Today’s focus is the technique.

TRIPLE PINEAPPLE CARD

SUPPLIES

* Island Vibes stamp set for images; Timeless Tropical stamp set for greeting

* Crumb Cake card base

* Crumb Cake mat 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and embossed with the Macrame Embossing Folder

* Scrap of Crumb Cake to mat greeting - 2 1/2” x 1”

* Focal panel So Saffron cardstock - 4 5/8” x 3 1/8”

* Focal panel Basic White - 4 3/8” x 3”

* Greeting  Basic White - 2 3/8” x 7/8”

* Inks - Crumb Cake, Old Olive; Stampin’ Blends - So Saffron (light), Blending Pen

* Linen Thread - about 24”

* Adhesive and dimensionals for greeting

Note - for the pineapple image ink the pineapple with the Crumb Cake, wipe off any ink the got on the pineapple top, and carefully ink the top with Old Olive. Use the blending pen to spread out the ink over the pineapple top. Go over the pine apple fruit area with the So Saffron Stampin’ Blend Marker. It is not easy to see in the photo, but the So Saffron adds that little touch of yellow to that portion of the image.

TRIPLE POTTED PLANT CARD

SUPPLIES

* Island Vibes stamp set and Timeless Tulip stamp set for greeting

* Card base Garden Green - front embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder

* Focal image mats - Cajun Craze- 3 cut at 1 5/8” x 4 1/8” each

* Focal image - Basic White - 3 cut at 1 1/2” x 4”, plus a scrap to stamp pots

* Inks - Garden Green and Cajun Craze

* Linen thread about 30” - 10” per panel

* Adhesive and dimensionals to adhere the three panels

TRIPLE GROOVY VAN CARD

SUPPLIES

* Driving By stamp set, Sweet Ice Cream stamp set for greeting, and Way to Goat stamp set for shadow 

* Card base - Flirty Glamingo

* Focal panel mat - Basic Black - 5 1/8” x 3 1/4”

* Focal panel - Basic White 4 7/8” x 3”

* Patterened Paper - Simply Marbleous, Sunshine and Rainbows, Abstract Beauty for paper piecing vans

* Inks - Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray, Stampin’ Blends - Basic Black (light), Smoky Slate (light), Highland Heather (light), Daffodil Delight (dark) and Polished Pink (light)m Pool Party (light)

* Artistry Blooms Sequins 10 or so

* Adhesive and dimensionals to adhere matted focal panel

TRIPLE BUG ME CARD

SUPPLIES

* Driving By stamp set,  Hello Ladybug stamp set for greeting, andWay to Goat for shadow

* Card base - Daffodil Delight

* Mat - Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder

* Focal Mat Basic Black 2 5/8” x 5 1/8”

* Focal image Basic White 2 1/2” x 5”

* Scrap of Daffodil Delight for greeting - 2 1/8” x 5/8”

* Scrap of Basic White for greeting 2” x 1/4”

* Inks - Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray; Stampin’ Blends - Granny Apple Green (light & dark), Highland Heather (light & dark), Daffodil Delight (light & dark), Pool Party (light)

* Balck Matte Dots -3

* Adhesive and dimensionals to adhere focal matted focal panel and greeting.
