FRAMED & FESTIVE FLORETS FOR CHRISTMAS - A STAMP HAPPY HOLIDAYS POST

Hi Stampers!

Today’s Stamp Happy Holidays post is just a tad different. We are going to take a peek at the FITTING FLORETS COLLECTION from Stampin’ Up!®️. This collection includes two stamp sets, a set of dies, DSP, and adhesive-backed embellishments. The collection is not exclusively Christmas oriented, but it includes a Christmas sentiment stamp set. The collection of coordinating products will be available beginning 1 November 2022. Today’s cards are all fairly straightforward. Five are Christmas cards and one is a birthday card. These cards can be made for any occasion by  simply changing the greeting. Let’s take a look at my sample cards:

FRAMED & FESTIVE FLORETS FOR CHRISTMAS VIDEO



FRAMED & FESTIVE SEASON CARD


SUPPLIES
* Framed & Festive stamp set and the Framed Florets Dies (oval frame with 4 points)
* Card base - Soft Succulent cardstock 4 1/4” x 11” scored and folded at 5 1/2”
*  Basic White cardstock - one piece at 4” x 5 1/4” for mat, 1 piece at 3 3/4” x 5” for inside card, and a piece to die cut oval for greeting
* Fitting Florets DSP - 2 pieces Evening Evergreen with different designs - cut one at 3 3/4” x 2 1/4”, and one at 3 3/4” x 3”
* Ink - Evening Green
* Open weaved ribbon about 18” - Soft Succulent
* Pearls -Basic Jewels - 3

ASSEMBLY
* Use the most ornate oval frame die and cut the shape from Basic White cardstock. Save the frame for another project. Use the Evening Evergreen ink to stamp the greeting on the white oval from the center of the die cut.
* Stamp a sentiment on the Basic White cardstock inside panel and adhere to the inside of the card.
* Adhere the two pieces of DSP together, overlapping one over the other a bit to create a piece that is 3 3/4” x 5” and adhere this to the 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock. Wrap the ribbon around this piece over the “seam” where the two pieces of DSP meet and toe a bow toward the left side of the panel Adhere this to the card base.
* Put dimensionals on the back side of the sentiment piece, adhere in the center of the card front. Add 3 Pearls Basic Jewels to the sentiment panel.

FRAMED AND FESTIVE HOME CARD



SUPPLIES
* Framed & Festive stamp set and Framed Florets  Dies
* Evening Evergreen card base cut at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Soft Succulent cardstock - one piece cut at 5” x 3 3/4” for inside card and a piece for die cutting
* Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 3 1/2” x 4 1/4” for die cut panel
* Fitting Florets DSP - Soft Succulent, cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Ink - Evening Evergreen
* Open Weave Ribbon - about 8”, Evening Evergreen
* Pearls Basic Jewels - 3
* Adhesive and dimensionals and glue dot

ASSEMBLY
* Use the hearts cutout die and the Evening Evergreen cardstock to cut the framing panel for the card. Center the die on the cardstock and run it through the die cut machine. You can save the hearts for an other project if you like.
* Use the ornate oval frame die with the Soft Succulent cardstock. Save the frame for another project. Stamp a greeting on the oval shape with Evening Evergreen ink.
* Stamp a sentiment on the Soft Succulent inside panel and adhere it to the inside of the card
* Adhere the DSP to the front of the card, then adhere the Evening Evergreen die cut panel to the front of the card centering it as best you can.
* Adhere the oval sentiment panel to the Evening Evergreen panel using dimensionals. 
* Tie a bow with the ribbon and adhere to the top of the oval sentiment panel with a glue dot; add the 
pearls

The next two cards are basically the same. I simply changed some colors a bit and embellished them a little differently. The color color scheme is not traditional, but I think these colors still portray feelings of joy and celebration. 

FRAMED & FESTIVE MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD #1


SUPPLIES
* Framed and Festive stamp set and Framed Florets Dies
* Balmy Blue card base 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Night of Navy cardstock 5 1/4” x 4” for mat
* Balmy Blue and Basic White cardstock  for die cutting
* Basic White cardstock - 3 3/4” x 5” for inside card
* Fitting Florets DSP - Night of Navy with Balmy blue, 3 3/4” x 5”
* Ink - Night of Navy
* Metallic Woven Ribbon - Sweet Sorbet, about 30” and a piece about 20”
* Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed gems, Calypso Coral - 3
* Adhesive, mini dimensionals, and glue dot

ASSEMBLY
* Use the less ornate oval frame die and Balmy Blue cardstock to cut a frame. (Save the oval from inside the frame for the card below). Use the same die and Basic White cardstock to cut another frame (save for another project) and an oval. Use the Night of Navy ink and stamp a greeting on the Basic White oval.
* Stamp a greeting on the Basic White inside panel and adhere this to the inside of the card.
* Adhere the DSP to the Night of Navy panel, and wrap the 30” of ribbon around this panel 3 times and adhere securely. Adhere this panel to the card base.
* Adhere the sentiment oval to the card centered and over the ribbon.
* Use mini dimensionals (or cut down larger ones) on the back side of the oval frame, then place it around the greeting.
* Fold the 20” of ribbon in half and tie in a double bow, attach to left side of frame with a glue dot, and trim ends.
* Place the gems around the greeting.
(The “pink” color in the DSP is Polished Pink, the ribbon is Sweet Sorbet, the gems are Calypso Coral - somehow they all work just fine together. In part it has to do with how are eyes and brain perceive color.)

FRAMED & FESTIVE MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD #2


SUPPLIES
* Framed & Festive stamp set & Framed Florets Diesx
* Night of Navy card base - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Polished Pink cardstock cut at 1” x 5 1/2”
* DSP - Balmy Blue / Night of Navy/Polished Pink - 5” x 3 3/4”
* Basic White cardstock 5” x 3 3/4” for inside card
* Night of Navy cardstock  for die cutting
* Balmy Blue oval saved from card above
* Ink - Night of Navy, Polished Pink and Stampin’ Blends - Polished Pink (dark)
* Pearls Basic Jewels 
* Adhesive

ASSEMBLY
* Die cut the Night of Navy frame and save the inside oval for another project.
* Use the Balmy Blue oval and stamp the greeting in Night of Navy; use the small floral/greenery and Polished Pink ink to stamp background images on the Polished Pink cardstock. Stamp a sentiment on the Basic White inside panel with Night of Navy ink.
* Adhere the inside panel inside the card; adhere the Balmy Blue cardstock to the card base, then the DSP.
* Adhere the Polished Pink strip to the center of the card. 
* Adhere the greeting to the center of the Polished Pink strip, the adhere the frame around it. 
* Color the three pearls with the Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend, and place on card.

FRAMED & FESTIVE NOEL


And now for something different! This card uses items from the Fitting Florets collection along with other Stampin’ Up! products.

SUPPLIES
* Framed & Festive stamp set and Framed Florets Dies
* Basic White (thick) cardbase - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and followed at 4 1/4” plus piece for die cutting
* Gold DistressedSpecialty Paper 3 3/4” x 5” plus a piece for die cutting
* Real Red and White Glimmer Paper - White - for die cutting
* Festive Pearls - gold, 5
* Ink - Crumb Cake, Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder
* Merry Melody Embossing Folder
* Gold Shimmer Ribbon - about 10”
* Adhesive and mini dimensionals and glue dot

ASSEMBLY
* Use the less ornate frame die to cut the oval and frame from the gold paper, and cut another one from the Basic White cardstock. Save the gold oval piece for another project. Adhere the Basic White oval frame to the backside of the gold frame to make the frame more sturdy.
* Cut foliage from the gold paper and the white glimmer paper - 3 each.
* Emboss the 5” x 3 3/4” gold paper with the embossing folder.
* Adhere the Basic White oval to the back side of the gold frame for more stability.
* Stamp greeting with Versa Mark on the Basic White oval, add gold embossing powder, and heat set.
* Stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card with the. Crumb Cake ink.
* Adhere the embossed panel to the card base.
* Adhere foliage pieces to the back side of of the sentiment and adhere this to the center of the card base with dimensionals. 
* Use mini dimensionals to adhere the frame around the greeting panel.
* Tie a bow with the ribbon and adhere the ribbon to the to the frame with a glue dot. 
* Add the pearls around the greeting.

BONUS CARD

FRAMED FLORETS BIRTHDAY


SUPPLIES
* Framed Florets stamp set and dies
* Soft Succulent card base 4 1/4” x 11” scored and folded at 5 1/2”
* Basic White cardstock 5 1/4” x 4” for inside of card
* Soft Succulent and Badic White cardstock for stamping and die cutting
* DSP - floral pattern with Night of Navy/ Balmy Blue / Evening Evergreen 5 1/4” x 4”
* Inks -Night of Navy, Memento Tuxedo Black; Stampin’ Dimensionals - Soft Succulent (dark), Evening Evergreen (light), Balmy Blue (light and dark), Night of Navy (light)
* Adhesive (I used liquid glue) and dimensionals

ASSEMBLY
* On Basic White cardstock inside panel stamp a sentiment with Night of Navy ink.
* On the other piece of Basic White cardstock (large enough to accommodate the most ornate oval frame die) stamp the greeting in the center with Night of Navy ink. on another piece of Basic White use the Tuxedo Black into to stamp 1 of the larger flowers, 4 of the smaller flowers, and 3 of the leaves images. Color with the Stampin’ Blends. 
* Die cut the flowers and leaves, die cit the greeting with the most ornate frame - save the frame for another project; die cut a frame from the Soft Succulent cardstock and save the oval for another project.
* Adhere the inside panel inside the cardn adhere the DSP to the card front. 
* Place dimensionals on the back side of the greeting and place greeting in center of card.
* Apply adhesive to back side of frame and put into place around the greeting oval.
* Arrange the flowers and leaves around the greeting as you like using a combination of adhesive and dimensionals to give a bit of dimension to the images.
