Hi Stampers!
The minute I saw the TACO FIESTA stamp set in the STAMPIN’ UP!®️ JANUARY - APRIL 2023 MINI CATALOG, I knew I would use the piñata (horse) image as the focal point for a card. Today I am sharing that card with you! The card is a fun fold called a tent card. It is so easy to create and my card features two very handy techniques: Reverse Stamping and Reverse Fussy Cutting! Be sure to watch the corresponding video to see how I made the Piñata Tent Card and to learn more about Reverse Fussy Cutting. Let’s take a look at the cards!
The images for the cards are from the TACO FIESTA stamp set. The greetings are from the BEST DAY stamp set, which is also found in the STAMPIN’ UP JANUARY - APRIL 23 MINI CARALOG.

A PIÑATA TENT CARD
CREATED WITH TACO FIESTA STAMP SET
SUPPLIES FOR THESE CARDS
* Taco Fiesta and Best Day stamp sets
* Card base - cardstock (color of choice) cut at 4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2” along the 11” side Colors I used - Parakeet Party, Basic White (thick), and Tahitian Tide
* Standing Mechanism - cardstock, same color as card base, cut at 2” x 4 1/4” scored at 1/2”, 1”, and 1 1/2” along 2” side - scoring and folding photos are found below this supply list
* Frame and greeting mat - scraps of cardstock same color as card base
* Front and Back Panels (cut 2) - Basic White cut at 4” x 5 1/5”
* Scraps of Basic White cardstock to stamp images and greeting
* Basic White cardstock - 2 pieces, each cut at 1/2” x about 4” (these will be trimmed down a bit)
* Inks - Memento Tuxedo Black; Stampin’ Blends (alcohol ink markers)
Colors I used - Polished Pink (light), Pale Papaya (dark), Daffodil Delight (light), Parakeet Party (light),
Tahitian Tide (light), Fresh Freesia (light)
* Baker’s Twine - white
* Dies- Layering Circles Dies : circle with diameter that measures about 2 3/8” from cutting
edge to cutting edge; scallop circle die, second largest. The circle die will fit perfectly inside the scallop die. Stylish Shapes Dies- banner die
* Tools - scoring board or trimmer with scoring blade, silicone craft sheet (see note below), paper snips (scissors), bone folder, light tracer box or window, Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (die cut machine
* Adhesives - Stampin’ Seal, Liquid Glue, Dimensionals
NOTE - To accomplish the Reverse Stamping Technique you will need a silicone craft sheet. This craft sheet is perfect for the reverse Stampin technique, but it has so many other uses: it covers your work area when applying adhesives to bits and pieces. Adhesives do not stick to the craft sheet - not even hot glue! Adhesive rubs right off! I use the silicon craft sheet as “cushion” under cardstock when stamping with photopolymer stamps, and I place it under watercolor paper when creating watercolor backgrounds. It is truly a multitasking tool! If you do not have one you can order it HERE
SILICONE CRAFT SHEET ALTERNATIVES
I strongly recommend using the silicone craft sheet for the reverse stamping technique, but if you do not have one you can use:
* a silicone baking sheet or silicone hot pad as long as the items have no texture or design
* the back side of a larger photopolymer stamp
I have achieved relatively &good result using the items listed above. Reverse stamping “stamps” can be purchased from several companies made from either red rubber or photopolymer. They are basically a rectangular piece of either rubber or photopolymer.
