A FUN FOLD & A FUN LAYOUT FOR FUN CHRISTMAS CARDS - A STAMP HAPPY HOLIDAYS POST

Hi Stampers!

It is almost the middle of November! I have almost completed my cards. How about you? Have you finished your cards? Almost finished? Halfway finished? Haven’t even started? Whatever your situation today’s cards might be the answer for you. One is a fun fold, that goes together fairly quickly. The second card is a quick and easy layout that features two coordinating patterns for twice the festive fun! Let’s take a look:

A FUN FOLD & A FUN LAYOUT FOR FUN CHRISTMAS CARES

DIAMOND Z FOLD CARD

Two score lines and a bit of trimming is all it takes to turn a card base into this Diamond Z Fold card.

CARD BASE
*Cut cardstock at 11” 4 1/4” along the 11” side score at 2 1/8” an 5 1/2”
* Place 4 1/4” side of cardstock - the portion that is the smaller rectangle - at top of trimmer. Move over to 2 1/8” and mark this point with a pencil. This is the midpoint.
* Line up midpoint with one of the ends of the score line (at 2 1/8”) in cutting tray of trimmer - cut. Repeat on opposite side. This forms a point.
* Fold the score lines - 2 1/8” score line is a mountain fold, the next phone is a valley fold.

PATTERNED PAPER
* Cut 1 piece at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Cut 2 pieces at 4” x 3 1/8”

OTHER CARDSTOCK
* Cut 2 pieces of white cardstock at 2 3/4” x 2 3/4” for focal panel and inside panel. These pieces will be oriented as a diamond shape.

I use cardstock and alcohol markers (Stampin’ Blends) from Stampin’ Up! Most inks I use are from Stampin’ Up! as well. Colors are current and available, unless noted as “retired.”

Stamps and other supplies come from various companies. I list them next to the supply item. Non-Stampin’ Up! items can be purchased through various online sources. Waffle Flower, Trinity Stamps, and Woodware Craft Collection by Jane Gill were all purchased through Scrapbook.com.
