Hi Stampers!
Are you ready for another fun fold card? I thought we would try a TRIPLE TAB POP OUT CARD. This card offers opportunities for you to use your patterned papers or larger scraps of cardstock. It also lends itself to smaller stamped images should you decide to stamp on the inside panels. The card starts with a standard A-2 size card base. A pop out mechanism (no worries it’s easy to construct) serves as a base for the three pop out tabs. If more space is needed for writing a personal message, you can add a panel to the back of the card. So many options! Let’s take a peek at the sample cards - I made a lot of them! 😁

TRIPLE TAB POP OUT CARD
MAKING THE CARD
SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED
* Card Base - cardstock cut at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”
* First Mat (can be used as focal panel) cut patterned paper (or cardstock) at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Second Mat (focal panel) - optional -cut paper or cardstock at 5” x 3 3/4”
* Inner Mechanism - cut cardstock at 5 3/8” x 4”
* Inside Mats - patterned paper or cardstock - cut 2 at 5 1/4”x 3”
* Tabs - cardstock, cut 3 at 3 1/8” x 1 3/4”
* Layer for Tabs - cut 3 from patterned paper or cardstock at 2 7/8” x 1 1/2”
* Panel for Back of Card - (optional) - cut cardstock at 5 1/4” x 4” or 5” x 3 3/4”
* Stamps, Dies, Punches, Coloring Tools, Embellishments, Adhesives, Dimensionals
HOW TO
* Fold the card base and use a bone folder to crease the fold, adhere the mat(s) to the card front.
* Fold the score lines on the inner mechanism, use the bone folder to give them a good crease.
* Fold the inner mechanism in half along the middle score lines, apply glue or other adhesive along one edge, adhere this along the fold line of the interior of the card, close the card, press to be sure the mechanism adheres well to the card. Repeat on opposite side of mechanism and other side of the interior of the card. Stand the card base up and you should see a box running down the center of the card. This serves as the pop out mechanism for the tabs.
* Center and adhere the inside mats on each side of the mechanism.
* Assemble your tabs by adding layer to the tab (patterned paper, stamped images on cardstock, etc)
* Take the tab you want to be at the top of the card, place adhesive on the left hand back side of the tab and adhere it at the very top of the pop up mechanism. Do the same for the tab you want at the bottom. Be sure each of these two tabs are adhered right at the top / bottom edge of the pop up mechanism. The center tab is a bit different. Place adhesive on the back right hand side of the tab. This tab will be adhere to the right hand side of the pop up mechanism centered between the other two tabs. Page down and view sample cards to see inside of cards.
* Stamp and mat (optional) back panel and adhere to the back of the card.
* Adhere focal panel, die cuts, etc.to front of card. Your card is complete!
CUTTING THE CARDSTOCK
This card takes one sheet of 8 1/2” x 11” cardstock for the card base, pop out mechanism, and tab bases.The chart below shows how to cut the cardstock. If you have a side folding A-2 side card base and larger scraps of the same color of cardstock, use those!
