TINSEL TIME THURSDAY!

 TINSEL TIME THURSDAY

CARD # 6

Welcome to Tinsel Time Thursday. This is week 6 of the series that will continue through 10 December 2020. Each week a card is presented to provide inspiration and encouragement as you work on your Holiday cards! So let’s take a look at today’s card!

This card features Shaded Spruce and Mint Macaron highlighted with vellum and gold die cuts as well as gold foil and a few Gilded Gems. This card mixes a bit of tradition with a bit of contemporary to make a simple, yet festive card.

This is what you will need to make this card:

The Wishes & Wonder Bundle found in the Stampin’ Up!®️ August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (pg 32). The bundle includes the Wishes & Wonder stamp set as well as the North Pole Wonder Dies. This bundle is part of the Wonder of the Season Suite. (See pages 30-33 of the mini catalog for details.) each item in the suite can be purchased together using one item number or they can be purchased separately. Each of the stamp sets with its coordinating dies may be purchased separately or bundled for a 10% savings. When you purchase the suite the stamps and dies are included at the bundled price.

Shaded Spruce ink, Gilded Gems (pg. 157 annual catalog), Christmas Cardinal Dies (pg. 180 annual catalog), Stampin’ Seal (pg. 162 annual catalog), or adhesive of your choice.

Shaded Spruce card base cut at 4 1/4” x 11” and scored and folded at 5 1/2”.  Two pieces of Mint Macaron cardstock cut at 5 3/8” x 4 1/8” (one for the outside and one for the inside), a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock that is cut at 1/2” x 4”, a piece of gold foil that is 3/4” wide x 4” long. A piece of gold foil and a piece of vellum for die cutting the leaves and flourishes. The DSP is from the ‘Tis the Season 6x6 DSP (pg 31 mini catalog). It is cut at 5 1/2” x 4”.

To assemble the card:

Die cut 2 vellum flourishes and 2 vellum leaf clusters using the 2 flourish dies and the leaf cluster from Cardinal Christmas Dies. Using all three stems with leave from the North Pole Wonder dies, cut one die cut each from gold foil. You should have a total of 7 die cut pieces.

On one piece of the Mint Macaron cardstock stamp the “May the Wonder of Christmas...”sentiment  from the Wishes and Wonder stamp set with Shaded Spruce ink. This panel goes on the inside of the card. Now stamp the sentiment, “Wishing You the Happiest...” on the strip of Mint Macaron cardstock using the Shaded Spruce ink.

Adhere the stamped Mint Macaron panel to the inside of the card.  Adhere the greeting (the Mint Macaron strip) to the gold foil. Adhere the DSP to the remaining piece of Mint Macaron cardstock, and adhere this panel to the front of the card.

Place some adhesive on the back of the greeting strip on what is the left side from the front. Arrange the vellum and gold foil die cuts in a manner pleasing to you, and place them on the adhesive. As you build your arrangement you might need to ad more adhesive to hold the die cuts in place.

Adhere your greeting to the card. Mine is placed about 1 1/2” From the top of the card (1 1/2” inches from the top of the card to the top of the greeting’s gold foil mat).

Place three of the Gilded gems in somewhat of a triangle pattern on the card. The card is finished!
I hope this card has provided you with greatinkspirations! Next Tinsel Time Thursday’s card features the Peaceful Nativity Bundle (pg. 17 mini catalog).

Until next time...
Stamp Happy!

IT’S A WONDER!

 IT’S A WONDER

CARDS MADE WITH WISHES & WONDER BUNDLE

This year I am determined to have my Christmas cards completed and mailed on or before 1 December!!!!     So far, I am on track to have my cards finished before Thanksgiving! Today I pulled out the Wishes & Wonder stamp set, and coordinating North Pole Wonder dies. I really like this set, and I love the dies. When I first saw the set I was certain I would have tons of ides for cards! Well, as it turns out I have tons of ideas, but they don’t all translate into reality all that well. It happens! I did come up with a couple of cards I am happy with:

The sleigh is embossed with silver embossing powder. The mistletoe, silver foil, and vellum foliage are adhered to the back of the sleigh with Stampin’ Seal. The entire piece is popped up on dimensionals. The vellum pieces are die cut using the Christmas Cardinal dies.  The DSP is from the ‘Tis the Season 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (mini catalog pg.31). The Real Red Double- Stitched Satin Ribbon is from the annual catalog.

This card was really pretty, and still is  - except for the dent on the left side of the frame where I accidentally set an acrylic block on it! The sleigh for this card was embossed with gold embossing powder. The background is made from 3/4” x 6” strips of gold foil and strips from the Brightly Gleaming Speciality Designer Series Paper that were adhered diagonally to a piece of cardstock.

This is a quick and easy card I made with the ‘Tis the Season DSP I had leftover from the card with the silver sleigh. The sentiment is from the Toile Christmas stamp set die cut with the coordinating die. The ribbon is the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon colored with a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

So, there are three more cards for my stack! How are you progressing with your Holiday cards? I hope today’s offerings have provided you with greatinkspirations!

Until next time...                                                                                                                                               Stamp Happy!
