With A Seaside View

It is the Fourth of July Weekend! Summer is in full swing, and it is super muggy here today. I don’t know about you, but I could use a trip to the beach! Such a trip will need to wait, but I can still enjoy my Seaside View stamp set. (See page 46 of the current Stampin’ Up!®️ catalog.)  

Today I decided to make a card with a window - sort of like a room with a Seaside View!  Here is the card I made using the stamp set:

I used a card base of Pool Party cardstock cut at 4 1/4” x 11. “ and scored and folded at 5 1/2. I stamped my focal image on whisper white, colored it with Stampin’ Blends, then die cut it with the Layering Squares Dies. Next I used the same die to cut the opening on the front of the card base. I used the same die plus one of the scalloped Layering Squares dies to cut two borders from Bermuda Bay cardstock. 

I placed Stampin’ Seal adhesive on the back of the focal image, closed the card and adhered the image inside the die cut area - the focal image is now on the inside of the card. I opened the card out flat to adhere one border to the front of the card “window,” and adhered the second border on the back side of the window. I think the second border makes the inside of the card look more appealing. 

To finish the card I stamped sentiments on the outside and inside using Bermuda Bay ink.  Creating my Seaside View was just that easy! I hope this card provides you with GREATINKSPIRATIONS!
