TINSEL TIME THURSDAY

 TINSEL TIME THURSDAY

Card # 4

Welcome to week 4 of Tinsel Time Thursday. Today’s card was created using the Snow Wonder Bundle. The bundle can be found on page 39 of the Stampin’ Up!®️ August- December 2020 Mini Catalog.

The bundled includes the Snow Wonder stamp set and the Snow Time dies. The focus of the stamp set is the sweet snowman, and the greetings are familiar, but not the usual offerings. I really like the Happy Christmas greeting as opposed to the usual Merry Christmas. As for the dies, the two snowflake dies do not cut, but emboss. The label dies make a great display pieces for the sentiments. This is my favorite bundle in the mini catalog!

Here is the card for today:

Here are the supplies needed to replicate this card

*Card base is a 4 1/4” x 11” piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5 1/2”.
*Silver a Foil Sheet cut at 4” x 5 1/4”.
*A piece of Feels Like Frost DSP (the design shown contains various shades of blue that coordinate well with the cardstock). The DSP is cut at 5” x 3 3/4”.
* A piece of Whisper White cardstock for stamping the snowman image

*Dimensionals to pop up frame and snowman
* Stampin’ Seal or other adhesive of your choice
* Largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies

*Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Pad
*Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
*Stampin’ Blends - Balmy Blue (light and dark), Misty Moonlight (light), Poppy Parade (light), Mint Macaron (light), Pumpkin Pie (light)

TO ASSEMBLE THE CARD

Stamp the snowman on the Whisper White with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use the Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends to add color to the snowman’s hat, scarf, and the shading lines on the snowman. Color the snowman’s carrot nose with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend, and color the holly on the hat with the Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.  Using the Misty Moonlight ink stamp the Happy Christmas greeting on the DSP centered near the top - but leave a bit of space for the frame.

Die cut the snowman, and use the Stitched So Sweetly die centered on the Silver Foil to create the frame.

Adhere the DSP in the center of the card base. Put dimensionals on the back of the silver foil frame and place it on top of the DSP.

Place dimensionals on the back side of the snowman on the head and in the middle of the snowman. Position the bottom of the snowman under the frames d adhere it to the card. The card is finished!

Here is an alternative version of the card

Instead of using the silver foil as a frame, use it as a mat. Be sure to die cut or punch images from the center of the foil sheet to use on another project!

That is it for today. I hope this Christmas card provides you with greatinkspirations! Check in next Thursday when the card will feature the Freezin’ Fun Bundle and the Herringbone Technique.

Until next time...
Stamp Happy!
