Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper makes such pretty cards, and these cards are so easy to make!!!
Each year for the Holiday Season I make Christmas and Hanukkah cards, but I also make extra thank you cards to give people who send gifts, help with Holiday festivities, etc. This year I decided to use Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. (Page 42 of the Stampin’ Up!®️ August- December 2020 Mini Catalog) This DSP made its debut in last year’s Holiday Catalog, and I am so happy it returned this year. It features beautiful photographic images on one side, and hand-drawn designs with beautiful silver foil on the other side. Today’s cards show off a variety of the photographic images. These cards are easy to make and although I used Thank You sentiments, any sentiment can be used with these cards.
This layout is very simple. A Night of Navy card base (8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored and folded at 4 1/4”), withe a 3 3/4” x 5” focal piece cut from the DSP, that is matted on a piece of Whisper White that is 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”. The sentiment is stamped right on the DSP with Night of Navy ink.
This card’s layout is the same as the previous card. The card base is Crumb Cake, and the mat is Early Espresso. The sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso on Crumb Cake, die cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies (smallest circle), and matted on an Early Espresso die cut (Tasteful Labels Dies).
This card base is Gorgeous Grape, the mat is Purple Posy (5 1/4” x 4”), the DSP is cut at 3 3/4” x 5”, then cut into 3 strips at 1 1/4” x 5”. Adhere the strips evenly across the mat and adhere to the card base. Stamp the greeting on Purple Posy cardstock with Gorgeous Grape ink. Die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies. Die cut a matching label from Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Cut the Gorgeous Grape label in half, adhere it to each end of the sentiment label. Use dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card.
The card base is Purple Posy, the mat is Balmy Blue (2 1/4” x 5 1/2”), and the DSP strip is 2” x 5 1/2”. The sentiment is stamped on the cardstock with Balmy Blue ink.
I think this card is my favorite. The Seaside Spray card base is 4 1/4” x 11”, scored and folded at 5 1/2”. The Night of Navy mat is 5 1/2” x 3 1/4”, and the DSP is 5 1/2” x 3”. The sentiment is stamped with Night of Navy ink. The Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon is is about 15” long, wrapped around the front of the card and tied in a bow.
The Pretty Peacock cardstock is cut at 4 1/4” x 8 1/4”, scored and folded at 2 3/4”.The DSP is cut at 2 1/2” x 4”, and 4 x 5 1/4”. For the flap use the Stitched Nested Labels to cut a piece of DSP, and use the next largest die to die cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock. Use adhesive on the left side of the flap only to adhere it to the card base. Use the dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend (bullet end) to color 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Using the photo above for placement, adhere the rhinestones to the card.
Stamp the greeting inside the card using Pretty Peacock ink.
I hope these cards provide you with greatinkspirations! Until next time...
Stamp Happy!
Kim
