STAMPIN’ UP! ®️ PREVIEW - PANSY PATCH STAMP SET

 Hi Stampers!

In just over 3 weeks the STAMPIN’ UP! 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOG goes live! Isn’t the catalog cover pretty?  On 4 May 2021you will be able to see the entire catalog. In the mean time we can preview a a few of the items included in the catalog!

In the previous post I introduced the brand new IN COLORS, and gave you a peek at three new stamp sets. Today I am focusing on one of those stamp sets - PANSY PATCH.

PANSY PATCH

PANSY DIES

The PANSY PATCH stamp set and the PANSY DIES can be purchased separately or bundled together for a savings of 10%.  The bundle is part of the PANSY PETALS SUITE. Along with the bundle the suite includes the PANSY PETALS DSP and the BUMBLEBEE TRINKETS.

COLOR COMBINATION SAMPLES FOR THE PANSIES

I played around a bit with some color combinations to use for the Pansy image. The combinations are almost endless!  I am posting two charts with just a sampling of the color combinations I came up with.
The samples in the first chart were achieved by using one color of ink for the flower and Mango Melody for the flower centers.  For the first layer of the pansy, ink up the stamp and stamp off then stamp the image on Basic White cardstock. Next, ink up the detail stamp and stamp on top of the previous image. The result is a two toned image. Ink up the next layer of the flower and stamp off. Now stamp the image in the center of your flower. Ink up the next detail stamp and stamp in the center of the flower. Ink up the flower center with Mango Melody and stamp! That’s all there is to it!

Below are 5 sample color combinations that use 2 colors of ink. The Fresh Freesia / Highland Heather flower has a Mango Melody center. These combinations are stamped similar to the previous color combination. In general, ink the stamp with the desired color. Stamp off, then stamp the image on Basic White cardstock. Ink up the detail stamp and stamp over the previous image. Follow the same process for the next to parts of the flower. Finally stamp the center of the flower. There you go! Easy peasy!

You will find more inspiration for color combinations for the pansy card samples on pages 28-29 of the upcoming annual catalog. Another great resource for color inspiration is the designer series paper!

SAMPLE CARDS

Here are a few sample cards I made using the stamp set, the dies, and some designer series paper. The first two cards were included in my last blog post.

This card shows off one design included in the Pansy Petals DSP, and two of the new IN COLORS - SOFT SUCCULENT & EVENING EVERGREEN. The pansies  and leaves were stamped and die cut with the Pansy Dies.

More pansies. These were stamped on whisper white and die cut. I love the gingham paper. The PANSY PETALS DSP contains 3 colors of gingham check in FRESH FREESIA, PALE PAPAYA, & SOFT SUCCULENT.  I really like the mixed fonts used for the greeting.

For the card above, I used what I call the “Pansy builder dies” that are included with the PANSY DIES. I used a color combination from the catalog. This card also features more of the PANSY PETALS DSP and the 2021-2023 IN COLOR JEWELS.

The SOFT SUCCULENT gingham patterned DSP and more stamped and die cut pansies are adhered to a SOFT SUCCULENT card base to make a simple anniversary card. The greeting is from A WISH FOR EVERYTHING stamp set which is carrying over to the new catalog.

The pansies on this card were die cut from the designer series paper! How easy is that? The DSP is the PALE PAPAYA gingham checked pattern. The greeting is made up of that great mixed font. I used a few more of the IN COLOR JEWELS.

I hope you have enjoyed the preview of the PANSY PATCH BUNDLE.  Just 3 weeks from tomorrow (4May) the STAMPIN’ UP! 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOG sales period begins!
