USING ECLECTIC GARDEN STAMP SET & EMBOSSING FOLDERS TO CREATE PRETTY COLOR ON COLOR CARDS

 Hi Stampers,

Today’s cards are quick and easy to make and feature a stamp set you might have overlooked. It is found on page 44 of the Stampin’ Up!®️ January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. Today’s cards also feature a dry embossed background. Some of you might remember last year my card making goal was do more fussy cutting. I did, and now I actually enjoy it. This year my card making goal is to use embossing folders more! I love embossing folders, but I tend to overlook them. Hopefully I can change that this year! Let’s take a look at today’s cards

And here is the stamp set

You know how I love options! I like this stamp set, because the images leave so much room for personal interpretation.  The top left image- blueberries, cranberries, winter berries, tallow berries?  It’s up to you! The same goes for the bottom right image - radishes, turnips, or beets? The bird image - it could be one of several types of actual birds or even an imaginary bird. Some see the bottom center image as a flower. It looks like an artichoke to me. As you can see, these images are very versatile The remaining images can be used to add a watercolor wash look to the other images; a quick and easy way to add color. You can also use these two stamps as a background for greetings. I like the little dots image. It is great for adding that little something to focal panels. Of course the stamp set also includes some great greetings.

For today’s cards I used a very basic layout, and an embossed mat the same color as the card base for a color on color palette. The focal images were stamped on Basic White cardstock and colored with Stampin’ Blends and cut out with dies, except for the radishes / beets - I just cut rectangular pieces of cardstock for stamping the images. Each image is matted. The greetings are stamped on Basic White cardstock. I stamped the greetings and used my trimmer to cut them to the desired size. I embellished with gems and / or twine.

BASIC LAYOUT
 * Card base is A-2 size, portrait orientation, cut at either 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” OR
