Hi Stampers!
Spring is here, and I am looking forward to gardening! Every year along with our vegetable garden we plant patches of sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias. I enjoy the all the flowers, but zinnias are my favorite. They are just so colorful! Once again the name of this flower is pronounced differently by different regions. Some of you pronounce the name “ZIN EE UH,” while others pronounce it “ZIN YUH.” Where I live we say “ZEEN YUH.” However one pronounces the name, zinnias are just so joyful and add a pop of color anywhere you find them, even on cards!
For today’s cards I am using the SIMPLY ZINNIAS BUNDLE and some other items from the SIMPLY ZINNIA SUITE of products. These products are ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and can be viewed in the ONLINE STORE.

* Simply Zinnia Bundle - images
* Beach Day stamp set - sentiments
* Card base - Lemon Lime Twist cardstock - 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored along the 8 1/2” side at 2 1/8” and 6 3/8” (or score at 2 1/8” on one side, turn and score at 2 1/8” on other side). Fold each score line toward the center (mountain folds).
* Inside panel - Basic White cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Mats - Flowering Zinnias DSP - cut two at 5 1/4” x 1 7/8”
* Focal panel Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and Basic White cardstock - die cut with dies listed below.
* Deckled Circles Dies - 3 1/4” diameter (use with Lemon Lime Twist) and 2 78” diameter (use with Basic white cardstock)
* Focal image & inside image - Basic White cardstock for stamping images (single zinnia and double leaves - die cut using matching dies) stamp and die cut two of each image.
* Inks - Blackberry Bliss (stamp zinnia images and greeting with this), Garden Green (stamp leaves images with this); Stampin’ Blends - Blackberry Bliss (light and dark), Berry Burst (light & dark), Lemon Lime Twist (light and dark), Granny Apple Green (light & dark), Daffodil Delight (dark)

* Card base - Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 11” x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2”
* Inside panel & window panel - Lemon Lolly cardstock cut two at 5 1/4” x 4”
* Focal mat - Flowering Zinnias DSP - 5 1/4” x 4” - use die to cut window
* Die - Everyday Details Dies - circle 3 1/4” diameter about 1/2” down from top and centered from left to right. (You can use any circle die with a similar diameter.)
* Focal panel - Basic White cardstock to stamp focal image
* Inks - Memento Tuxedo Black, Lemon Lime Twist; Stampin’ Blends - Lemon Lolly (light & dark), Daffodil Delight (light & dark), Pumpkin Pie (light), Lemon Lime Twist (light and dark). Stamp the image on Basic White cardstock using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Use the Lemon Lime ink to stamp the sentiment and to stamp the flower image and inside sentiment.

* Adhesive of choice and dimensionals to attach focal image

* Beach Day - for inside sentiment
* Wanted to Say Dies (Happy Birthday die and matching mat) - Lemon Lolly and Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the sentiment.
* Card base - Lemon Lolly cardstock cut at 11” x 4 1/4” scored and folded at 5 1/2” - use Lemon Lolly ink and single zinnia stamp to stamp random images on card front.
* Inside panel - Basic White cardstock cut at 5 1/4” x 4” stamp “Enjoy Today” with Pumpkin Pie ink and use Lemon Lolly ink to stamp a floral image in the lower left corner.
* DSP - Flowering Zinnia cut at 5 1/2” x 2”
* Cardstock for 3-D zinnia - Petal Pink & Calyso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green.
Petal Pink - cut 1 floral layer with largest center and 1 floral layer with smaller center
Calypso Coral - cut 1 floral image with smaller center
Granny Apple Green - cut stem and two leaves
Pumpkin Pie - cut flower center
Crushed Curry - cut the circle of little star shapes (disk florets)

* Sponge Daubers - highlight the flower petals with a bit of Calyso Coral ink

Simply put the paper in the trimmer at 6” (cut between the flowers). Cut each half at 4” and 8”. This will give you six pieces that measure 6” x 4”. For a layer on an A-2 card front trim to 5 1/4”. Where you trim will depend on if you want to stamp the greeting directly on the DSP or and a greeting elsewhere. You can trim the 3/4” evenly from the top and bottom of the DSP, from the bottom only, or from the top only.
