LET’S MAKE A KID’S THEMED FLIP FLOP CARD WITH HEY CHUCK - A KIDS’ CARDS POST

 Hi Stampers!

I don’t know about you, but I make a lot of cards for the little ones in my life. Granted some of those little ones are not so little anymore, but they are still kids and they love getting mail addressed to them! So . . . today is the first in a series of KIDS’ CARDS posts.

Today’s card design is called a flip flop card. My samples are birthday themed. They could easily be turned into a just because card, a hello card, a congratulations card, etc.

Let’s take a look at the cards:

TIPS FOR KIDS’ CARDS

From my experience, kids tend to prefer cards that include one or more of the following:

1. Bright fun colors, favorite color, or school colors
2. Reflect the child’s interest (sports, dinosaurs, space, unicorns, princesses, art, etc)
3. An interesting shape, movement /interactive
4. Fun, cute, or silly images
5. Personalization (name, number representing their age, sports team jersey number, etc)
6. Addressed specifically to the child

My list is by no means comprehensive, but I find it helpful and maybe you will too.

TO DECORATE ENVELOPE

* Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp the desired image (s) on the front lower left corner of the envelope. Place a piece of scrap cardstock inside the envelope, and color the image with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. The cardstock keeps the alcohol ink from bleeding onto the back side of the envelope.
