SILVER & GOLD FOR HOLIDAY CARDS - A STAMP HAPPY HOLIDAYS POST

 Hi Stampers!

Do you have any card making traditions? I do! Every year when I create my Christmas cards I create a gold and white card. Sometimes I make another version of the card in silver and white.  I love the look; simple, elegant, and festive. Today’s cards carry on my tradition with a couple of twists on the theme. The gold and white card might look familiar. I previewed this card in  my 28 July 2022 Lights Aglow Suite In Detail post. You can view that post HERE.

Let’s take a look at today’s cards:

First is my original gold and white version of the card, next the silver and white version, and one of my new twists - Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla with gold! Watch the video below to see my fourth color combination.

HOLIDAY CARDS THAT GLIMMER AND SHINE

I used products from the LIGHTS AGLOW SUITE to create the cards: the Christmas Lights stamp set and coordinating Twinkling Lights dies; the Brightest Glow stamp set and Labels Aglow dies; the Glimmer paper, the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP, and the Gold & Vanilla 3/8” Satin-edged Ribbon.

FOR ALL VERSIONS OF THE CARD

CUTTING MEASUREMENTS
* Card base 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
* Mat - 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”
* Focal Panel - 5” x 3 3/4”
* For stamping & die cutting (tree and greeting) 1/4 sheet cardstock - 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”

SUPPLIES
* Versa Mark
* Embossing Powder - gold, silver
* Heat tool
* Dies - Twinkling Lights - Tree Outline
              Labels Aglow - Long Label
              Stylish Shapes - circle die - 2nd largest
* Adhesive and dimensionals

HELPFUL ITEMS
* Embossing Additions Tool Kit (Stampin’ Up!®️July - December 2022 Mini Catalog, pg. 49)
This kit contains great tool to help make heat embossing easy peasy - Embossing Buddy, Powder Pal (I  call it an embossing tray), Crafting Brush, and Crafting Tweezers. (I love these tweezers!)

TIPS
* Die cut the Stylish Shapes circle from the center of the mat layer.
* For inside sentiment - emboss it or use Crumb Cake ink for gold cards, and Smoky Slate ink for silver cards. These inks will resemble gold / silver and create a balanced look to the card by allowing the focal image to really shine!
* If you do not have the Embossing Additions Tool Kit you can use the following substitutes:
   - Embossing Buddy - A fabric softener sheet will work and give your stamping space a nice scent!
   - Crafting Brush - small flat paint brush
   - Crafting Tweezers - a wooden clip style clothespin
   - Powder Pal - a piece of paper on a shoe box lid (cardboard or plastic), or just a piece of paper

LIGHTS AGLOW SUITE - AN IN DETAIL VIDEO

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS STAMP SET & TWINKLING LIGHTS DIES
(CHRISTMAS LIGHTS BINDLE)

The CHRISTMAS LIGHTS STAMP SET is a red rubber cling set of eight stamps. Six of the stamps have coordinating dies.

The TWINKLING LIGHTS DIES is a set of 14 dies. Six dies cut out shapes; the remaining eight die cut designs. Two dies add embossed - like detail (Christmas tree and snowflake).

BRIGHTEST GLOW STAMP SET & LABELS AGLOW DIES
(BRIGHTEST GLOW BUNDLE)

The BRIGHTEST GLOW STAMP SET is a sentiment set of 12 red rubber cling stamps.

The LABELS AGLOW DIES is a set of 13 dies. Three of the dies are label dies. The remaining dies cut very pretty designs in cardstock or other papers.

LIGHTS AGLOW SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

This 6” x 6” DSP is a collection of 12 double-sided designs (24 designs total). One side of each sheet has gold foil in the design. There are 48 sheets total.

FESTIVE FOILS SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

This 12” x 12” package of DSP contains 6 sheets of foiled papers - 2 each of three designs. (This paper has a design on one side only.)

GLIMMER SPECIALTY PAPER

This paper pack consists of six 12” x 12” sheets of glimmer paper. There are two sheets each in Gold, Very Vanilla, and Evening Evergreen. This glimmer paper certainly is glimmery! And the glimmer bits do not come off!!! I love that!

GOLD & VANILLA RIBBON AND FESTIVE PEARLS

The ribbon is so pretty. It is a satin edged ribbon with a sheer center lined with thin gold trim on each side. It is very easy to work with, and looks great with all the papers included in the suite. The pearls come 200 to a package (50 of each color) in Cherry Cobbler, Soft Succulent, Silver, and Gold. The pearls are adhesive backed making them super easy to place exactly where you want them.
