Just In Case

JUST IN CASE!
“I really want to make that card!”

I enjoy perusing the Stampin’ Up! ®️ Catalog. Not only is it full of great stamps and other products, it also contains so many wonderful card and project samples. There are so many great card samples. Of course, I want to try making them all! For a week or so now I have been eyeing a card on page 16 of the catalog. The card uses the stamp set, Mountain Air, and  Majestic Mountain Dies.  It also uses Rich Razzleberry cardstock; a color I do not use all that often. I decided today was the day I would CASE that card.

CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything. There are many ways to case a card. You can, replicate all or part of the card (if you post it give credit where credit is due), you can use the card’s color scheme, or use the cards layout, etc.

Today I really wanted to replicate the card, but add some of my own touches. So, I dusted off the Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and got busy!  Making this card was a bit outside my comfort zone, but that was the purpose! Challenging myself to try something different keeps me out of a card making rut! So, I pulled out some Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and went to work. Here is the result:

I am okay with the results. I might give this card another try. If you compare my card to the one in the catalog you will notice I made some changes; some by design, and some just sort of happened!

After I made the Mountain Air card I had a quarter sheet or so of Rich Razzleberry cardstock on my desk. I decided to do something with it. Here is the card I made:

For this card I used a Bumble Bee card base, and used the Rich Razzleberry as a mat for the Flowers For Every Season DSP. The greeting is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Bumble Bee cardstock that was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I added a few enamel dots and a bow made from the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding. I think Rich Razzleberry is beginning to grow on me!

If you feel a lack of card making inspiration, peruse the catalog, and find a card to CASE. You never know what it might lead to!

Until next time...

Stamp Happy.

Kim
