SCRAPS, SCRAPS, AND MORE SCRAPS!

 SCRAPS, SCRAPS, AND MORE SCRAPS!

MORE GREAT CARDS MADE WITH SCRAPS.

As I continue going through my mountain of scraps I thought I would share a few more cards I made with strips of scraps. Here is one of the cards I made:

And here is the same card, just a Christmas version:

Here is how I made the Congratulations card.

The sentiment comes from the A Grand Kid stamp set, which is in the Stampin’ Up!®️ 2020-21 Annual Catalog.

The card base is Misty Moonlight cut at 4 1/4” x 11” scored  and folded at 5 1/2”. I used about 14” of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, and three of the Metallic Pearls (gold). You will also need a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4” x 2”.

I used the Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the sentiment, and the Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend (dark) to color the ribbon.

The scraps for this card are from the World of Good DSP. I cut 3 strips at 4 1/2” x 3/4”, and two strips at 4”x 3/4”.

I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch on each end of each strip.

Punch each end of the 5 strips. On the piece of Whisper White cardstock place 2-3 strips of adhesive along one of the  the long sides. Begin placing the strips on the Whisper White cardstock. I started with one of the longer ones, then a shorter one, and alternated across. Trim off any extra Whisper White cardstock.

Turn the focal piece over and place some adhesive along the middle of the cardstock. Wrap the ribbon around the focal piece. Secure the ends, and trim ribbon. Flip over focal point. Use the remaining ribbon to create a knot bow by slipping The piece of ribbon under the piece adhered to the focal piece. And tie a knot. Trim ends if needed. Put more adhesive on the back side of the focal piece on the Whisper White cardstock. Adhere the focal piece on the Misty Moonlight cardstock,

With the Misty Moonlight ink stamp the “Congratulations” on the front of the card. Places the 3 gold metallic pearls on the front of the card. The card is completed. Super easy!

I hope today’s projects encourage you to use up those great scraps to create beautiful cards you can send out to brighten the day for others! Also, I hope today’s projects provide you with greatinkspirations.

Until next time...
Stamp Happy!
