TINSEL TIME THURSDAY

 TINSEL TIME THURSDAY

CARD # 8

Welcome to installment  8 of Tinsel Time Thursday. These posts will continue through 10 December to provide you with ideas, tips, trick, encouragement, and greatinkspirations as we work together to complete our Christmas cards!

Today’s card is fairly quick and easy. It is also a fun card for school aged kids, teenagers, and adults too!   Here is the card:

I made 4 cards like this, but used different color schemes and variations.

The card on the left is Granny Apple Green with Poppy Parade, The one on the right is just the opposite!

Here we have Real Red and Shaded Spruce versions.

The stamp set for this card is called Don’t Stop Believin’. It is found on page 23 of the Stampin’ Up!®️August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.

For the front of the card I used the elf image and the “It’s all fun and games until Santa check the naughty list.” sentiment. On the inside of the card I paired the “Don’t stop Believin’” sentiment with Merry Christmas from the For Unto Us stamp set. Page 35 of the mini catalog.

To make this card:

The Granny Apple Green card base is 4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2”, Whisper White 5” x 3 3/4” for the inside of the card, a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 2” x 3/4”, a piece of Poppy Parade DSP (denim look pattern) from the 6 x 6 DSP Brights Assortment (page144 annual catalog), and a piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the elf image.

Poppy Parade ink,  Memento Tuxedo Black ink, various Stampin’ Blend markers. I used Petal Pink (light), Flirty Flamingo (light), Granny Apple Green (light and dark), Poppy Parade (light and dark), Mossy Meadow (light), Mango Melody (light), and Wink of Stella. You will also need the two largest oval dies from the Stitched Shapes die set.

Stampin’ Dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal or the adhesive of your choice.

With Poppy Parade, stamp the sentiment for the inside of the card and use the small piece of Whisper White for the greeting. Then using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamp the elf image.

Color the elf image.

Die cut the elf image and the backing for it using the oval dies.

Adhere the inside panel to the  card.

Layer the elf image on the DSP mat, and use dimensionals to adhere the focal panel to the card. Use Stampin’ Seal to adhere the sentiment. The card is finished.

That is it for today! I hope this card idea has provided you with greatinkspirations. Next week’s card features the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle.

Until next time ...
Stamp Happy!

Kim
