CARD # 9

 Hello, Stampers! Wow! Here we are at week 9 of Tinsel Time Thursday! Today’s card features the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle (Stampin’ Up!®️ August- December 2020 Mini Catalog Page 19). This bundle first appeared in last year’s Holiday Mini. The variety bundle includes the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set, the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP, and the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack. I am so glad Stampin’ Up! brought it back for the 2020 Holiday Season. I love the intricate designs on the ornament images.  The holly image is a perfect for the “Deck the Halls” sentiment. Here is a peek at the stamp  set:

And here is the card for today:

Although I like the sentiment included with the Christmas Gleaming set, for this card I wanted something a bit larger. I chose a sentiment from the For Unto Us set:

To make this card you will need

A card base of Pretty Peacock that measures 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, scored and folded in half at 4 1/4”.  One piece of Brightly Gleaming DSP cur at 5 1/2” x 2”.  Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 5” x 3 3/4”, another piece cut at 4” x 1 1/2”, and another piece of scrap for stamping the ornaments.

Pretty Peacock ink, Versa Mark ink, Pretty Peacock (light) Stampin’ Blend, and Gold Embossing Powder.

Heat tool, Embossing Buddy (Stampin’ Up! no longer offers this item), if you do not have an Embossing Buddy, no worries. Simply use a dryer sheet instead!

Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Seal or the adhesive of your choice.

Wonderful Gems, Old Olive/ Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon

The smaller of the two ornament punches.

To make the card:

Using the Pretty Peacock ink stamp the Merry Christmas greeting from the For Unto Us stamp set on the 5” x 3 3/4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. In the lower right corner stamp the small ornament image. Using the Versa Mark stamp two of the ornaments and cover with the gold embossing powder, and set with the heat tool. Using the Pretty Peacock (light) Stampin’ Blend add a bit of color to ornaments, taking care not to color over the embossing. On the 4” x 1 1/2” piece of cardstock use the Versa Mark and stamp the “Sharing with you...” sentiment. Cover with gold embossing powder and set with the heat tool.

Cut two pieces of ribbon; one about 6” long, and the other about 4” long. Place some adhesive along the back side of the ribbon. Make sure to leave a space adhesive free so you can slip the smaller piece of ribbon underneath. Once the smaller piece of ribbon is sLipped under the long piece of ribbon tie a bow knot. Trim the ends.

Adhere this panel to the card base.

Now add the remaining pieces to the card.

Lastly add the gems to the card.

Adhere tge Very Vanilla panel to He inside of the card.

The cards is finished!
