Hello Stampers! Here we are at week 16 of Tinsel Time Thursday. Here is the card for today:
This card features the Christmas Means More stamp set, Red or Green Foil Sheets, the Jingle Bells, and the Metallic Mesh Ribbon. The background mat is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder.
SUPPLIES NEEDED TO MAKE THIS CARD:
The card base is Whisper White (thick) Cardstock 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored and folded at 4 1/4”.
For the mat layer - a 5 1/4” x 4” piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Another piece of Whisper White cardstock that is about 3” x 4 1/4”.
A piece of Red or Green Foil Sheet that is about 3 1/4” x 4 3/4”.
Shaded Spruce or Real Red ink, Versa Mark ink (optional), Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool
Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, 2 Jingle Bells (red or green), Metallic Mesh Ribbon - 1 piece that is about 16” long, and one piece that is 8-10” long.
TO ASSEMBLE THE CARD:
1. Ink the stamp with Versa Mark, then ink it with either Real Red or Shaded Spruce ink. Stamp the sentiment on the cardstock, then sprinkle the embossing powder over the sentiment. Flick off the excess, and heat set.
OR
2. Simply ink up the stamp with either the Shaded Spruce or Real Red. Immediately sprinkle the embossing powder over the stamped image. Flick off the access embossing powder. Heat set.
The clear embossing powder adds a little shine to the sentiment and also adds a bit of dimension.
Use the Stitched Rectangles Dies to die cut the foil sheet, and to die cut the sentiment. Place the piece of Whisper White that will be the background piece inside the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder, and run it through your die cutting machine.
Here are both versions side by side? Which on do you like best? Originally I thought the Real Red version was my favorite. After I finished the Shaded Spruce version I liked it better. Now I like both versions!
I hope today’s cards have provided you with greatinkspirations. Next week’s card will feature the For Unto Us stamp set and the Feels Like Frost DSP.
Until next time...
Stamp Happy!
Kim
