TINSEL TIME THURSDAY CARD #17

Hi Stampers! Welcome to week 17 of Tinsel Time Thursday! Today’s card is pretty and sparkly, but quite easy to put together. The sparkle comes from the beautiful Feels Like Frost DSP, pretty silver foil, and shiny silver embossing powder, plus a few faceted gems.

The stamp set used for this card is For Unto Us. I like the stamp set’s fonts; they are so pretty.

Let’s make the card. Here are the supplies needed:

A card base of Whisper White (thick) that is 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored and folded at 4 1/2”.
A piece of Whisper White cardstock that is about 3” x 4”
A piece of silver foil that is 1” x 5 1/2” - then cut it into two pieces that are 1/2” x 5 1/2”.
A piece of First Frost DSP that is 2 1/2” x 5 1/2”.  For this card a design that is a silver print on a white background works best.

For ink - Versa Mark, Smoky Slate, and Silver Embossing Powder

A heat tool, and the largest oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

White Linen Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Pack, Metallic Mesh Ribbon, and three of the Elegant Faceted Gems (clear).

Stampin’ Seal or adhesive of your choice and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To assemble the card:

In the center of the scrap piece of Whisper White , stamp the sentiment using Versa Mark. Cover the image with silver embossing powder, tap off excess. Heat set with heat tool. On the inside of the card base stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment with the Smoky Slate ink. Cut out the sentiment with the oval die.

Adhere the silver strips on each side of the DSP.

Adhere the DSP panel to the card.

Cut a piece of the mesh ribbon that is about 5 1/4” long, and cut two pieces of the linen thread that are about 2 1/2” long. Take one piece of the linen ribbon and adhere the ends together. Now adhere the ribbon on one side of the sentiment piece.  Repeat the process with the other piece of linen ribbon, attaching it to the other end of the sentiment piece.  In the center of the back side of the sentiment piece add strips of adhesive. Pinch the mesh ribbon in the center, and push the center of the ribbon into the adhesive. Place dimensionals on the ribbon pieces and a couple other places on the back side of the sentiment. Adhere it to the center of the DSP strip.

Place the three gems on the sentiment panel. The card is finished.

So, we have completed 17 weeks of cards! Can you believe it? Just two more cards to go! Christmas is just a month away!!! I thought it might be fun to take a quick peek at all the cards demonstrated so far!

Tinsel Time Thursday is winding down, but it is not over quite yet! There are two more cards to go!!!! Next week’s card features the Cherish the Season stamp set. In the mean time I hope everyone enjoys a Happy Thanksgiving.

Until next time...

Stamp Happy!
