CREATE AN ABSTRACT WATERCOLOR BACKGROUND TO SHOWCASE BUTTERFLY GALA IMAGES

 Hi Stampers!

Today I have cards to share I created using the BUTTERFLY GALA stamp set found on page 79 of the current annual catalog. This stamp set is on the list of items retiring with this catalog. The stamp set coordinates with the BUTTERFLY DUET PUNCH (page 165 annual catalog), which is also retiring.

For the card I created an abstract water color background, stamped the greeting, then randomly stamped the outline butterfly images to create a focal panel.

HERE IS THE CARD

MORE SAMPLE CARDS

For this card I used a Coastal Cabana card base and a Bermuda Bay mat. The butterflies and sentiment are stamped with Bermuda Bay ink. Colors used for the background are Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay.

This card base is Magenta Madness, the mat is Basic Black, and the butterflies and sentiment are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The colors used for the background are Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, and Mango Melody.

This card base is So Saffron; the mat is Basic Black. The butterflies and sentiment are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment is stamped on So Saffron cardstock and die cut with one of the  Tasteful Touches Dies. Dimensionals were used to attach the sentiment to the card.

Here is a look at all four cards. Don’t the colors remind you of spring? I hope you will give this background a try.
