USE YOUR SCRAPS - CREATING CARDS WITH STRIPS OF SCRAP CARDSTOCK

Hi Stampers!

I was sitting in my craft room just looking around at a few spaces that needed some attention. One of those spaces was a box where I keep smaller pieces of cardstock, only the box could not be seen. The cardstock spilling out totally concealed the existence of the box. So, I decided the time had come to do something about all that scrap cardstock. I selected some of the pieces and cut them into 1/4” strips. Next, I looked at my pile of strips for a while. It didn’t take long before a few card ideas came to mind. Here are the results:

CREATING CARDS WITH CARDSTOCK SCRAPS

 Below each card photo I will list the supplies I chose to use to make my cards. To recreate the sample cards use any cardstock colors, sentiments, dies, etc you like. Remember the purpose of these card ideas is to  help reduce cardstock scraps collections.

 STAGGERED STRIPS BIRTHDAY CARD

Now center each of the Color B strips horizontally on each side of the Color A strip. Center the Color C strips horizontally with the Color B strips. Continue the process with the remaining two colors.
* Use paper snips or scissors to cut around the image.
* Adhere this piece to the Basic Black mat with dimensionals.
* Use adhesive and two mini dimensionals (one on each end) to adhere the greeting.
* Adhere this panel to the Basic White card base.
* Add the decorative dots.

LAZY DAISY - CARDS SO SIMPLE THEY ALMOST MAKE THEMSELVES! FEATURING FRESH AS A DAISY DSP FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

Hi Stampers!

Today we will take a look at the Fresh As A Daisy Suite from Stampin’ Up! ®️ This suite of products is part of the Stampin’ Up! 2023 Annual Catalog. It includes the Cheerful Daisies Bundle (stamp set & dies), the Adhesive Back Solid Gems in Copper Clay, Boho Blue, and Lemon Lolly, and Fresh as a Daisy DSP (Designer Series Paper). The DSP color scheme features all the 2023-2025 In Colors (Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, and Pebbled Path),  as well as three new core colors (Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath, and Lemon Lolly), one returning color (Pretty Peacock), and others from the core colors!

I like all the components of this suite, but my favorite is the DSP, especially a specific sheet of the DSP. In my last post used designs from one pack of paper to create cards. For today’s post I used just one particular sheet of DSP, and made 10 cards! Let’s take a look:

Here is the sheet of DSP I used to create the cards:
