TRUSTY TOOLS & FUN TOOL THEMED CARDS - AN IN DETAIL POST

Hi Stampers!

Today we’ll take an “In Detail” look at the TRUSTY TOOLS BUNDLE. This is a stamp and die bundle, and is found in the Stampin’ Up!®️ January - April 2024 Mini Catalog. This bundle is a great for creating guy cards, especially for the handyman , woodworker, or builder in your life. Of course this bundle can be used to create cards for handy women too, and kids who have a passion for tools!

This bundle gives you so many options for creating tool themed cards. The stamp set is a two -step set, meaning it contains stamps that are outline images and stamps that fill in the color. You can stamp the outline image and use your choice of medium to add color - markers, watercolor, sponges, etc. Stamp the images directly on to the card panel, or stamp the images and die cut them and adhere them to the card. If those are not enough options for you, you can stamp the outline image on colored cardstock and die cut the images, or just die cut the images from colored cardstock! Plus - there are dies to cut out pieces and assemble a drill, needle nosed pliers, a toolbox, and more.

Finally, the TRUSTY TOOLS BUNDLE coordinates with the TRUSTY TOOLBOX DSP found in the SALE-A-BRATION BROCHURE! This DSP is available for free with a $50 Stampin’ Up! product purchase (excludes tax and shipping), but the DSP is available for a limited time. SALE-A-BRATION runs now through 29 February.

Let’s take a look at my sample cards:

EASY BACKGROUNDS & ON THE OCEAN FOR MASCULINE CARDS

Hi Stampers!

Today we’ll take a look at the ON THE OCEAN stamp set and the coordinating ON THE OCEAN DIES. These items can be found in the STAMPIN’ UP!®️  JANUARY - APRIL 2023 MINI CATALOG. This stamp set is perfect for masculine bithday cards, cards of encouragement, or fun pirate ship cards!

Today’s cards are birthday cards. They are similar, but each is a bit different in a couple of ways. I used the same greeting for each card, but present the greeting in different ways on the cards. The background panels are similar, but each was created using different methods and different papers. Let’s look at the cards:

While creating this card I realized the stamp that “fills” the glass does not totally fill the glass. To fill my glass I stamped, then moved my stamp up and stamped again. I did not re-ink my stamp as I wanted the top of the drink to be a lighter color to resemble the beginning of foam. If you want the contents of the glass the same from bottom to top, simply re-ink your stamp.
